Uh. Its been awhile since I played FE7, but that feels fairly low, going off vague memory? They should be around the 6 to 7 range, or at least Sain and Kent should with Lyn not trailing far behind them?

Are you in Lyn's tale? support convos are locked 'til after. As for the levels, it's really not that unusual.

I wouldnât worry about it *too* much, but Iâd start picking who you want to stick with! The game gives you some badass units as you go, so you donât have to worry about being in an unwinnable situation imo

The game is pretty well balanced for the amount of exp there is in it. If your characters are around level 4, that's probably the intended level for where you're at. You're not going to get super powerful in Lyn's story unless you, like, feed a specific character entire maps' worth of kills.

what they said, and you actually can't unlock supports until eliwood's story! i wish someone had told me that BEFORE i spent literally a hundred turns trying to get them to unlock. on that note, in the gba games, units get support points by ending their turns side-by-side instead of fighting side-by-side, so it's REALLY easy to support-grind.
Thanks for the advice, everyone! It was a big relief to hear, especially since I was trying to level everyone up as best as I could but I was worried that would wind up hurting me in the future.
To answer a couple questions that came up:
@oracleether : At the time, Sain, Kent, and Lyn were all Lvl 5 and every one else was around Lvl 4 (with a couple of new recruit exceptions).
@bisexualowain and @darkflierliesel : I am in Lynâs story at the moment and thank you for the heads up! I was starting to get really concerned, especially being so used to FE13 and FE14âČs support mechanics.
@funkadacious : Choosing who I want to stick with is going to be the hard part! I want to work with all of them, but I just started a couple chapters today with unit limits so thatâs not possible anymore. :(
@vilkalizer : That makes sense! I wasnât having any sort of trouble defeating the enemies, but I still felt like I was doing something wrong.
