If I could take off my head and my torso and my legs

maybe they will all find a home somewhere else 

And leave

FLOWERS IN A CIRCLE

Growing in the forest floor is a ring of plants

Flowers in a Circle, so be carful where you dance

For you know what they say

About that ring in the floor

If you step into it your days will be no more

You’ll summon a fae and they’ll make a deal

Don’t be a fool

They are Cunning

They don’t lie but that dose not make them honest

if you sea a fae don’t speak your name

only run

And keep running

Don’t be a fool and make a deal

In blood it will be sealed

The fae will trick you in the end

They conceal what they intend

And it’s highly probable you’ll end up dead

Trust me when I say there not just story’s

They had to come from somewhere

So if you see a ring of plants growing on the forest floor

Run, and keep running

RED RIBBON

The red ribbon was kept in a frame

Slightly discolouring from the salt water it was found in

Or maybe form the tears

No one knows the story of the ribbon

I think that’s kinda sad

It is red

Was vibrant

Now, just red

Frayed at the edges

Discolouring

Maybe it was well worn, loved

Maybe it was over used, stretched too far

The red ribbon was in a frame

In a museum

And I was looking at it

But before that

It was found in the ocean, floating

And before that

Well, that is lost in time

Maybe it was not a lost ribbon

Maybe it was right where it belonged

But others decided otherwise

Taking it with them

Giving it a ‘home’

Putting it in a frame

For all to see

I looked for the red ribbon

That cold have been

I looked at the red ribbon

GLASS BOX

There is a child

She is standing in a glass box

There is a door

But the handle is too high

There is a wooden chair in the Middle of the box

The child walks around it

Inspecting

Then she sits

she starts to fidget

She wants to get out

But the handle is too high

So she looks out beyond the box

She sees more boxes

With children like her in them

She sees some children moving the chair to reach

To get out

Some children break the glass

And once they get out

Something about them looks different

But what?

The girl in the glass box dose not move the chair

She tries to get the attention of the other children

To get help

But no one sees her

She plays with herself

Sings to herself

Draws on the glass

Tells herself stories

Of when she will get out

But she is frightened

Frightened by the other children

Where to go once she’s out

Frightened That she can see no more children in glass boxes

They all got out

Except her

There is a child

She is standing in a glass box

There is a door

But the handle is too high

As A Poem

As a poem my job is to capture the incoherent thoughts and feelings of the heart

But I’m not sure what to hold when the heart is so empty

When the brain is just static

When the ink is dry

Or the curser only blinks

On

Of

On

No words...

Just the blank empty page

Of a blank empty heart
