Note: Yes, I dragged Logan into this. Yes, this is just a sea quest. Yes, I tagged beauty-and-passion because they were encouraging this and wanted to see it.
This fan fiction is specifically for Team Pirate, if you are unaware see the link.
He awoke at dawn, weary but determined to get back to the adventure at hook- er- hand! Orange did the usual morning thingys, grabbed his hat and set out for his ship.
Today was the day today the treasure of Captain Sander would be his at last!! Weeks of planning and voyaging and napping would all be worth it for this glorious treasure! Now, where was his loyal crew?
They were probably, he figured, on the ship. The Dark Specture was a beautiful ship. It was a galleon with enough cargo space and room to fit everyone in the mindscape and their rooms! Truly, a beauty of the sea.
The captain spotted his First Mate playing with his favorite Morning Star. Remus was an excellent First Mate and definitely helped in battles with the sea’s many perals. The two were very close and almost too often Remus begged to go on another adventure out onto the Seven Seas.
“Remus! How’s the wind today?”
“Captain!!! Uh... the wind? Oh the wind! The wind is windy and blowy.” Remus stuttered out. He could barely contain his excitement.
“Sounds like good sailing weather? Do you know the rest of the crew is?”
“Oh yeah!! They were charting course, apparently there’s sign of a Kraken by Sea Salt Bay.” He said all too eager. A Kraken could certainly slow down the voyage, but it would be a fun battle. It had been ages since they fought a Kraken.
He got on board and gave Remus a nod and in response got a salute. He wandered into his quarters on the ship and saw his loyal crew. The two-faced watcher and scout, the overly-nerdy Quartermaster, and the timid but talented cook. They looked a little strange, being out of their usual attire, but this was becoming common occurrence that the five would get together for some light-hearted sea-faring fun.
With the course set and hopes high the ship left port and set out on their next big mission. Who knows what awaits the ( mostly ) dark side crew? Treasure? Adventure? DEATH? ORANGES?!
The ship quickly got out to sea and it wasn’t long before they found where the Kraken could be lurking. The water was murky and dark. Remus wanted to jump in head first and throw caution into the wind, but the Captain was against that for a number of reasons. Soon however, a dark spot int he water got... darker? Oh no, his old foe returned for round two.
“KRAKEN!” Screamed Janus from the crow’s nest. He was already getting to the canons as the giant squid emerged from the water. It had one good eye, six disgusting slimy tentacles, and was angry.
Captain drew his sword with a smirk and jumped at the beast with vigor. He slashed at the horrible beast and easily avoided the oncoming canon-fire from his crew trying to help. He weaved his way through the tentacles seamlessly and cut the best right at the base of it’s tentacles. The Kraken screeched in agony as the Captain took his prize of one of the beat’s tentacles. He leaped back onto the ship and watched the horrible creature sink into the depths of the sea.
He was met with a chorus of awe from his crew and even Virgil joined in on the high-fives. As they continued on route, excitement stayed among them as they silently recalled the epic battle.
“Hey, uh, is that it?” asked Virgil sheepishly as they approached a star-shaped island. It was covered in a dense jungle and only had a small old dock for port.
“Good eyes, Anxiety! Maybe Deceit should take some notes.” He gave the shy side a wink and asked Logan to turn the ship into the small dock. He had no idea what kind of traps would protect such a valuable treasure. A treasure worth more than anyone knew.
They made port, tied down the ship, and head off. Virgil stayed behind with Remus so that the panicked side couldn’t go too far down a dark spiral, without a helping hand to get him out.
The trio went into the jungle, with Janus at the head and Captain and Logan following close behind. They quickly found a beaten old trail and followed it ahead. Soon they came a cross a suspicious cave entrance. That had to be it. There was no way this was natural.
“There appears to be an indent into the wall. Perhaps a key of some sort is needed?” Logan observed. What would Captain do without him?
The Captain pulled out a glittering orange gem and inserted it into the stone. With a brilliant flash of light, the door opened to revealed the real cavern. They jumped over rocks, under arrows and narrowly avoided being burned by a trap. After 8 traps they found it, the treasure room.
The Captain pulled a key from inside his coat and inserted it into the small chest on a crumbling stone pillar. He gazed hungrily upon his prize and with excitement and fulfillment. He picked up the chest and crew walked back to the ship.
After arriving back at port most of the others had something to do but Remus was too curious to go about his day.
“What is it?! I have to know!” Remus pouted
“Fine, you are my First Mate after all.” The Captain opens the treasure chest to reveal.... oranges? Lame. However, Captain instructed Remus to look closer. The fruits were very ripe, perfect to eat- wait isn’t this treasure hundreds of years old?
“It’s the secret immortality.” Remus breathed. Truly a worthy prize of waiting to see.
The Captain returned his room, chest in hand, and placed on the floor by his bed. This was one of his best voyages yet and as he drifted off to sleep he wondered what other secrets were waiting to be found.

I, like most Fanders, have several theories I will to share with you about Orange whether you like it or not
- Orange forms during an episode, and it is confirmed then what Side they are and if they’re Light or Dark
- Orange is a Hidden Light
- Orange is King Creativity
- Orange, as it turns out, was hidden by Janus for the sole purpose of protecting Thomas (Like maybe he’s a Side that shouldn’t have any kind of control over Thomas)
Look, it started out as a joke but now I genuinely can't stop thinking of the orange side, that's right! The infamous missing side, as anything except a cowboy.
