Update of my watching The order season 2:
I just got to episode 8 and finished and yeah Alyssa is actually becoming a good character.
I mean she just turn into antagonist but this is where I saw her going since the end of season 1 so props to her.
Alyssa is ambitious, she wants to be powerful and her own definition of good. She is also easily led astray by powerful and compelling figures. Example: Edward Coventry, Orbid from the Sons of Prometheus, and now Salvador. I think that comes from how her family treated her but that’s another post.
Now she’s going to act like Jack helping erase her memory is some great treason and shows how much the order has changed and controls him but it’s not. Jack would have still had to deal with her if the Knights were separated for the Hermetic Blue Rose, why? Because Alyssa is doing something that will give magic to hundreds of thousand of people and there won’t be any control. So it still would have been the Knights responsibility to deal with her, the only difference is that without the option to erase her memory Alyssa would have probably been killed by the Knights as a way to stop her. Also Alyssa eraser Jack’s memory before soooo hypocrite much.
But I am happy with the fact Alyssa is finally becoming a good character and she will be against the wolves and the order.
One think that has always matter to Alyssa is how she is defined by being a powerful practitioner and now she doesn’t have that, she wants it back, it’s what makes her important, what makes her feel good. She wants to be the best, she needs it. And she can’t be it within the Order, she’ll get it somewhere else.
She thinks she’s right and that the order betrayed her (which it kind of did) but here’s the thing if it hadn’t been her that was the witness, if she had been on the outside same as the wolves are right now, she would have sided with Vera.
I honestly can’t wait to see her confront the order and the wolves.
Irrelevant but I bet Tony trolls the fuck out of Bucky when he’s ‘fixing’ his arm up.
