Does anyone else feel a little overwhelmed by the swift passing of time right now? I don't feel there are enough hours in the day or enough days in the year. I'm constantly screaming inside "March ALREADY!!!". I think much of it stems from the number of ideas for jewellery makes in my mind exceeding the amount of time it takes to create them. When it comes to making, I've decided I'm a plodding perfectionist and quite often will tear down my work because I think the wire wrapping is ropey, the found object is not good enough for the piece or that overall the colour scheme is a bit off. Anyone else create barriers for themselves like this? Does anyone have any advice on how to get past the hump of self doubt that ensures you can only release work at a snail's pace? When it works! I’ve made quite a few mushroom woodland scene orbs with more failures than successes. This one might be my best yet. It has the right balance of flora and fauna, the mushroom didn’t float off and there aren’t a heap of bubbles trapped underneath the cap.
