I've always lowkey shipped Garrosh and Zaela, so I couldn't help noticing that she calls him by his first name in the quests to unlock the Mag'har as an allied race.
Not "Warchief Hellscream" or "my warchief" or anything formal. Just "Garrosh."
It probably means nothing, and both characters are long dead in canon, but I take whatever shreds of canon I can get for my obscure ships...
Do you remember Warlord Zaela? I'll let the Wowpedia speak for itself: "Zaela's personality would appear to be rather contradictory. In CATA Zaela admired Garrosh for leading a diverse group of races, was close friends with the undead, Cowzynn. Zaela disapproved of foolish attacks on the Alliance. Later on Zaela was portrayed as far more brash & hating non orcs. This is assumed to be due to Garrosh's influence." Basically MOP ruined her & made her an accessory to evil Garrosh.
Oh yeah, she definitely got dragged along with Garrosh’s 180-degree turn into villainy. Such a waste.
Also, while I’m posting unpopular opinions, I totally shipped them. So there.
I recently realized that somehow I ship Garrosh and Zaela. I don't know how that happened, as I normally don't care much about orcs one way or another.
Maybe it's from listening to her wax poetic about how he's "the greatest warchief who ever lived" every week before we fight Galakras.
I've only done the Twilight HIghlands quests once Horde-side (and only twice Alliance-side, come to think of it) but I know there was a little spark of "Whoa, now that is an orc!" between the two of them then so it's not a totally random crackship, I guess.
(Malkorok would be so jealous. I'm picturing him pouting in the corner muttering "My Warchief!" while Zaela and Garrosh make out.)
Given Aggra's "plot" I'd be kind of afraid for Zaela's character if they did make it canon, though. :P
I wouldn't call it a new OTP or anything because I'm still generally indifferent toward orcs, but it makes running Siege for the hundredth time slightly more entertaining. ;)
