Hi, I just found your blog and saw that you're doing a Twilight read along and omg it's so cool because all I see is such awful things from everyone about Twilight and yeah I get how it has issues but it was the first book that I ever read and enjoyed, and that got me into reading in general. 12 year old me loved it as much as 21 year old me loves it now (at least the first book lol) so I just wanted to say thank you! :)

Yes I am! and I completely agree with you! I’m actually really enjoying rereading the first book. It’s funny, it’s actually quite well written (I’ve definitely read way worse books). But the stigma surrounding them has just taken epic proportions at this point. Yes, it’s problematic at times. but some of the accusations are exaggerated (especially taking into account that other books have “committed the same sins” and haven’t been as criticized).
My point is: it’s okay to read these books and it’s okay to like these books. And I’m so happy to hear you’re enjoying them :)
