I yearn for a domestic life with that old man…
My go to daydreaming scenario is living with the Pines family (for whatever reason, it's very creepy pasta mansion core.. I know.. don't shoot me.) and having a secret relationship with him.
Little domestic moments here and there that are broken up immediately when someone walks in the room, always being conveniently interrupted during kitchen hugs and laundry folding by the meddling children, or Stan barging in the room while you're cuddling on the couch and completely ruining the vibe when he plops his stinky self down to watch his soap operas. Swatting Ford's hand away infront of people when he instinctively tries to hold it. Forgetting that it's not normal for a friend to be petting his hair or idly caressing his shoulder as you walk by. You two need to have a serious talk about physical contact and when it's appropriate to initiate it. But to be fair, if the rest of you minded your business and didn't pop up at the worst times.. we wouldn't have this issue. Like, we are trying to roleplay domestic married life together, hello? Go away...
Ugh, but the moments that are uninterrupted are so worth it. Washing dishes side by side with him while he hums softly under his breath, waking up in his bed with your legs tangled inbetween his, nose nuzzles and cheek kisses behind corners, chilly morning walks on the walking path in the woods, parralel playing with him while he does his nerdy science stuff/reading. It's all so fuzzy and sweet, and honestly, the adrenaline you get from almost being caught with him is quite exciting. It's like a little game no one else knows you two are playing.

This could be a parallel to the helicarrier scene in catws. After he's made sure the world will be safe, he tells Maria to destroy the helicarriers, even with him still on one. Because he's so tired and the one person he loves more than anything doesn't know him, so what's the point? At least this time he can die with Bucky, like it should've always been. But then he hears Bucky scream, and looks down to see him pinned by a falling beam. So he goes to help him.
Steve, with several bullet knife wounds, jumps down and lifts the beam off the person who just gave him those injuries. The amount of strength it would've taken to do that is insane. And Bucky might just try to kill him again. But you know that, hearing him scream and seeing him look so scared, he wasn't thinking of the Winter Soldier. He was thinking of his friend, the person he had even when he had nothing. His friend needed help, so he decided to try one more time. Because he can't stand living in a world where he couldn't save Bucky. Even if Bucky killed him, it would be okay.
Twice Steve helped Bucky even when he was so exhausted and injured and I'm so normal about it.
Me too, so unbelievably normal, so totally fine and unaffected, not suffering immensely at ALL 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
