And I drew Tresdes again cus making her suffer somehow makes me happy.

The middle one is the "canon" one Tres, who just have survived the Shirai Ryu' elimination cus she's immortal. She has terrible depression and blames herself for disability to change the fate or rewrite it even though she is the Keeper of History and has unique magic that lets her rewrite history of living creatures. She tried countless times, but result was always the same.

The left one is the Keeper of Time (after coming back in time and winning over Kronica). She restarted history with the memory of the previous timeline to prevent the same old incidents. She would look at her past-self with pity and still hurt, cus she still remembers the pain of loosing her family and whole clan in one day.

The right one is the Dark Titan (after winning over Shang Tsung, who was the Keeper of Time) and a necromant from the Order of Darkness. She doesn't have a memory of the past, so she doesn't understand the tragedy. She would say something like "Why wouldn't you just try to resurrect everyone?" without any sympathy.

I am not the biggest fan of the multiverse thing in mk1 but i think we should make more headcanons about the versions like I see a few about ood johnny and kenshi or uol bi han but it would be interesting to see others like uol shang tsung or ood liu kang, geras how does their world look like how are their personalities

If I Had a Heart

He was not from this timeline.

Kung Lao could view that thought in two ways. He could see it as the truth for what it was–he had made his way into a timeline that was not his. Or, he could see it as meaning the Raiden he desired and sought was not from the time line Kung Lao came from.

Neither mattered in the end because Kung Lao didn't truly care. He knew what he wanted and he was going to get it. Consequences be damned because, again, he wasn't from this timeline.

And soon Raiden would have something in common with him.

As Kung Lao watched through the trees, he realized he could in fact make another commonality between himself and the Raiden he desired. He could make it be so both of them were without their loved one.

He felt the smirk form. There wasn't much to feel. Kung Lao enjoyed the thrill of the hunt and there was the giddy anticipation he felt at what could happen once his plan was put into motion. Though he didn't actually plan too far ahead–he thought about what he wanted and acted. So long as he got what he wanted in the end, well that was the important part.

Though it seemed the Kung Laos of the multiverse or whatever they called it all had something in common–they rarely got what they wanted.

Perhaps that's why this Kung Lao was going to die, and his darker counterpart would be the victor and claim what was rightfully his. This Riaden wasn't the same exact one that Kung Lao had lost, but close enough. And perhaps just off enough that fate would spare him and Kung Lao could sort of have something he always wanted.

It wasn't going to be the same.

But he didn't care.

Kung Lao decided to remain in the trees as he watched his kinder, more heroic version walk by, allowing him another few minutes of life.
