Distant family, cousins, nobles, all looking to snatch a piece the power left behind in the vacuum. In such tumultuous times it was not uncommon for a favorable accident or two to occur under cloak of darkness. To put it more simply - Business was good. Your eyes traced the motion of the delicate pen work, reading over the letter once more. A noble woman petitioning the order - very much convinced that a member of court had painted a target on her husbands back. Insisting that we would be very well paid if the Order were to deal with them before the inevitable occurred. The masque next week would be the perfect opening. If anyone was to make their move it would be then. You nodded. Her instructions were clear, the stage was set, and the players were about to arrive. The show was about to begin.

Welcome to the Masquerade. You are a professional assassin. An agent of L'Ordine dell'Occhio Nascosto, The Order of the Hidden Eye - a group of watchers, punishers, and executioners operating in Renaissance Era Tartosa. You have been contracted by a La Farfalla to track down and eliminate a potential political threat to her family during next week's Masquerade Ball. Simblreen this year is inspired by the Italian Renaissance, Italian Carnevale, and the world of Comedia dell'Arte - improvisational theater. Expect a lot of masks.
