Twilight and warriors, Bonding
The night was a silent time, nothing but the sound of the fire crackling or nearby wildlife keeping Twilight company. Watch was something the rancher didn't like for that reason. He wanted to go and explore with his wolf senses, but he had to stay put. He sighed, he shouldn't be complaining. At least he's not third watch.
Twilight's ears twitched and he looked around the camp for the source of such a heartbreaking noise. His first glance was at the champion, but he was sleeping peacefully. He looked around and met Warriors bedroll. The captain was shaking, tears dripping down his eyes. The ranch hand slowly walked over. "Stop." Warriors pleaded once Twilight got close enough and the rancher paused, heart breaking for the captain.
Twilight gently shook the captain's shoulder. "Hey, it's me. Twilight."
The captain shot up, roused by the shaking, and looked at Twilight. "Twi?"
"Mhm. You looked like you were having a nightmare so I woke you up."
The rancher looked around to see that the camp was still safe and he turned back to Warriors. "Do you wanna go back to sleep?"
The captain shook his head. "Okay, well, I'm on watch so if you want to join me I don't mind." Twilight hummed.
Warriors followed Twilight and sat down next to him on a log. "I'm here if you wanna talk about it." Twilight reassured.
"Thanks for the offer." The captain said, and wiped away tears from his face.
"No problem." The rancher replied.
Fireflies began to fly into camp, above the sleeping heroes. Twilight smiled at the sight. The glowing dots of green made the camp seem magical. "Fireflies? In this Hyrule?" Warriors gazed at the fireflies.
"More likely than you'd think." Twilight hummed. "The cub has a bunch in his bag."
Warriors made a face. "Oh please don't tell me he puts that in our food."
The ranch hand laughed. "If it counts for anything I've never seen him put it in food."
The captain dramatically collapsed. "Oh, that's good."
Twilight rolled his eyes and pulled him up to his feet. The captain stumbled a little. "I forgot you were that strong."
The rancher patted Twilight's shoulder mock-consolingly. "There, there, captain."
The fireflies continued to fly around, glowing like stars but close to the ground.
