I've been loyal to @autozone as a former employee since 1998, and have tolerated their decline in customer service, but today was the final straw. I urgently needed a 1 11/16" (43mm) socket today, and called my local store to inquire while I was out searching. I asked the clerk if he could check the shelf for a 1 11/16 OR 43mm socket, his response, "what type of vehicle?" A 2010 Dodge Ram 2500, could you just check the shelf? I just need a socket. "6.7?" What? Yes. Can you just check the shelf? "Ok let me look in the back." [Puts me on hold, I regret not hanging up.]. He comes back and says he has a hub socket for rent, and I say that that will work. When I arrived at the store this guy dressed like the Eleventh Doctor has an assortment of sockets roughly half the size of what I need, to include the ones in the rental set. He then opens a SAE to metric converter and slowly types in 1 1/16, and then tried to tell me I needed a 27mm socket, as if the entire time on the phone and now in person I didn't know what I needed. Fortunately @tractorsupply had exactly what I needed and didn't try to sell me something useless instead. I will be returning my remaining parts to @autozone tomorrow as I've already repurchased the remaining parts I need from someone else. I will only return to @autozone as a last resort in the future. #autozone #tractorsupply #amazon #oreillyautoparts #napaautoparts https://www.instagram.com/p/BsHoEzcgKlU/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=12tw815pluebg
