Today I learned that windshield wiper blades are different lengths on either side of a car, and I played around with the latch on the blades to figure out how to change them.

I looked up auto parts stores to find where to get new ones.

Then I asked Ian B if he like the "🎶 Oh Oh Oh O'Reilly! Auto Parts! 🎶" Or the "🎶 Get in the Zone! AutoZone!🎶" jingle better because near us there is one of each about a block away from each other.

Ian B says that the Autozone jingle is for jocks so we should go to O'Reilly's.

OK, so I've finished the manuscript for my second novel and have made tweaks to it, so I expect to release it in early 2026. However, that's not what I came here to talk about.

I came here to talk about something that happened when I was at Autozone today.

See, I needed some oil for my car to hold me over until its next maintenance appointment, and when I entered the store, I noticed that the sole cashier was not only sitting down at the register, but that he had a pair of crutches resting on the counter. So, after I picked out the oil I needed, I returned to the counter and put the bottle right on the edge, over on his side. He thanked me profusely for doing so, not only telling me that most people would've put it down closer to their side, but also revealing to me that he'd torn his ACL, MCL and meniscus when he was 17 and that it hurt during cold weather. Me having autism, it meant a lot to me that I could do something good for someone else with a disability.

So remember, every little act of kindness counts, because you never know what people are going through.
