Padmé and Anakin would be proud of who Luke and Leia became. But you know who else would be proud of their children?

we promised we'd be safe, another lie from the front lines
nym asked for: my favourite line from track 13 on my (2022) spotify wrapped + star wars! the song was mars by sleeping at last.
Bailobibreha + D2 requested by anon
Someone: Do you have any reoccurring fantasies?
Me: I'm in Star Wars, right? I save Alderaan from blowing up and I go and get Bail and Breha Organa and I tell them about every great thing their daughter has ever done or will ever do and I let them know how much I love and cherish all of them and then I go get Leia and they're all together and they hug for a really long time and I drop kick Tarkin down a shaft
You know what would have been nice to imagine?
lil ben solo with his grandparents. not anidala. but bail and breha organa. I mean sure, the poor kid didn’t grow up with any grandparents - but I would’ve thought the Organas would’ve been so loving and affectionate. I wouldn’t want to compare them to Anidala (because that’s a complicated relationship to begin with).
The Organas as loving grandparents to lil Ben Solo if they had not died at Alderaan would make my heart melt. I think they would have poured the best love that could have protected and nurtured Ben. After all, it Leia is who she is because of her upbringing. I would assume Ben would have been in great hands had he had the Organas as grandparents.
An important addition to my Organa Shrine
Obi-Wan Kenobi S1E1-2: The Organas
I'm not going to do a write-up per ep, I figure I'm better off tackling one theme at a time, so Organas first.
I've always wanted to see more of Alderaan, and I'm so glad I finally got my wish. Favorite planet, right away! The place but also the outfits.
The Organas are amazing parents and I love that they do focus on that. Padme and Anakin didn't raise her or Luke.
For all that I didn't want the show to be all about the Skywalkers (again) that all went out the window the moment I figured out we'd be getting baby Leia. She's adorable!
Maybe a bit too clever, but then Obi-Wan even mentions it, and I guess it makes sense. She is Force sensitive, and with her genes and upbringing, that would make for a precocious kid. She's enough of a 'normal' (slightly annoying? what, I'm childfree for a reason) kid, that it's fine.
It's funny how she considers Obi-Wan too old to be her dad, because Jimmy Smits looks around the same age IMO. But probably not as unkempt!
I love that when Obi-Wan says no to the Organas they don't just give up. They're understanding and Bail just shows up to talk it through and press his case.
I'm also glad this actually adds to canon instead of convoluting it. Now it makes sense that she'd call on him for help in ANH and be so glad he was there, not to mention name her son after him. Especially the last bit seemed so weird since they'd never met.
