Declutter and transform your living space with these 10 simple steps for a more organized home and life.
Discover home decor tricks to make cleaning a breeze!
1. Taller Legs Furniture - If you choose elevated furniture that’s tall enough to fit your vacuum under, you’ll eliminate the extra task of moving it to vacuum. Instead, you’ll be able to hit in a quick swoop every time you vacuum. Easy-peasy.
2. Low-Maintenance Furniture Fabrics - Ask about stain-resistant fabrics at your local furniture retailer or perform a quick online search to see what’s available.
3. Polyester Over Cotton - Polyester is one of the easiest fabrics to clean: Rather than absorbing stains, it lets them sit on the surface for easier removal.
4. Avoid Glass Tabletops - Glass tabletops have a sleek, classy look that can be very alluring at first, but that transparent shine holds onto every smear, fingerprint, and speck of dust it picks up.

Loved doing this little project! Cleared the cluttered produce bowls off of my counters! Wooden dowel, wire baskets, black zip ties and screw hooks. A trip to Home Depot and The Dollar Tree made it cheap, but effective and it’s aesthetically pleasing! #ClearClutter #ProduceOrganization #KitchenOrganization #MomHacks #OrganizingHacks #AvoidingClosets #GenX #momsover40 #HomeDepot #thedollartree https://www.instagram.com/p/Cph2apouxDo/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
Got tons of paper lying around? Scrap paper? I use them sometimes to create a "seamless" look. Especially for spaces that don't get much "View". That's right. Pic # 3 has cut up white paper, or the doodle-free side to create that look. I don't know, after containerizing it (pic # 2) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ - I felt - yeah, it did keep things together and nothing's falling... but it was missing something: 𝙏𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙬𝙖𝙨 𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙏𝙊𝙊 𝙈𝙐𝘾𝙃 𝙩𝙤 𝙡𝙤𝙤𝙠 𝙖𝙩. When there's a lot to process, our brains get overloaded (on top of everything else it has to process: #𝐿𝒾𝒻𝑒!). 𝙒𝙚 𝙣𝙚𝙚𝙙 𝙬𝙝𝙞𝙩𝙚 𝙨𝙥𝙖𝙘𝙚 - 𝙩𝙤 𝙘𝙖𝙡𝙢 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙨 𝙙𝙤𝙬𝙣. How do you create white space when you have lots of paper clutter? I love making lists. It helps keep me organized with my life and dreams. Some of the tools that I use to keep track of my lists are: -> Good ol' paper and pen -> Online note-taking app -> Calendar You can make other lists like a grocery list or a more consolidated bucket list (I broke my down by category). Lists are great to have and will help you maintain some sanity. I am now going to create my Staycation list for the two-week staycation I am starting to take next week. Please let me know what should be on that list because I plan to have fun with my family, relax, and explore. #organizationhacks #organizinghacks #organizedliving #organizationideas #organizedmom #gettingorganized #stayorganized #organizingtips #organizedlife #planners #planning #productivityhack #todolists #productivityhacks #productivitytips #beproductive #productiveday #productive #productivity #growthmindset #listslistslists #makinglists #listmaking #lists #list #todolist #planning https://www.instagram.com/p/CEU8X92j2yD/?igshid=30j0esr30a3t
Three Tips for Thriving in Task Management at Work
Task management has a pivotal role to play when it comes to determining the productivity levels of you and your employees. When your workforce understands what task needs to be done and by what time, then the rest of your work becomes smooth. However, task management is not a one-time project, and it needs you to practice lean policies to continually improve on task quality and time management. Here are some few insightful tips for embracing task management at your work.
Have A Bird’s Eye View of the Tasks
What tasks need to be done by the employees and by what time? The first step to thriving in task and time management is to have a clear understanding of these terms. In most cases, using visual boards could help simplify this information. Additionally, ensure that you have predictions of what you should do if anything were to go wrong. For instance, having a backup plan for fulfilling a task that needs a lot of storage can help to save time and improve your business’ productivity if one of your servers were to fail.

Subdivide Huge Tasks into Smaller Parts
Climbing Mt Everest starts with a single step. In other words, giving a general completion deadline for a task that would take days to achieve can at times turn it into a burden for your employees. It is much easier to complete such tasks when they are subdivided into smaller pieces. You can then give every subdivision its completion deadline.
Avoid Multitasking
The most intuitive approach for finishing any task within the shortest time possible is multitasking, but it might not be worth it at times. In the quest for quality over quantity, quality will take a beating in such a scenario. This is because multitasking introduces the potential of making mistakes as you deal with tasks. Instead, offer every task its timeline and completion deadline to mitigate such mistakes.
