Moving on with things!

Hey all,

So I've had some big news in my life recently and I feel it's about due time to share that info since I feel a need to change the title of my blog. To give you a bit of background I started this blog when I first moved out to Whistler and was working as a graphic designer intern at Origin Design and Communications (http://www.origindesign.ca/) in town here (which was an awesome experience).

After working with them for a bit I stumbled across the opportunity to work with fabled ski photographer Blake Jorgenson (http://www.blakejorgenson.com/) as his assistant and graphic designer for the duration of this ski season (which also was an awesome experience).

It was through working with Blake that I started talking to the crew over at Powder Magazine (http://www.powdermag.com/) and long story short I will be starting work as Powder's new art director within the next couple of weeks. I am beyond super stoked to get this unreal opportunity and can't wait to get started! Sometimes I feel like I need to pinch myself because this just seems too perfect to be real! I'll be making the trek down to San Clemente, Southern California within the week to start work. 

As such I feel the need to change the title of my blog since I'll no longer be an intern - I'll keep you posted on what I decide!

Opening Blog Post!

Hi internet world!

This is my first ever post on my new blog, so I hope you are stoked for more to inevitably and sequentially follow suit! So... I was thinking about it and I think it would be pretty cool if we become friends because that would be wicked awesome and all that kind of thing, ya know? Alright, deal? Deal. 

Anyways, big shout-out to the fantastic Lisa from Origin Design for encouraging me to join the blog-creating masses of the web-roaming world. She made some very persuasive points that inspired me to jump on the social media bandwagon and I have to say I am quite excited to be grasping to the edge of said wagon at the moment. 

Anyhoo, bare with me for the moment and I promise there will be lots of cool content uploaded as I familiarize myself with this whole thing! Cheers,
