Hearts of Gold Chap 9. (JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure)
It wasn’t hard to spot the crash site, even though it was on a pretty unused road so it hadn’t gathered a large crowd yet. Bucciarati slammed on the brakes a few feet from the wrecked car and was out of his own in a second, rushing toward it.
“Giorno! Abbacchio!” he shouted, crunching through broken glass and using Sticky Fingers to open up the twisted metal.
Giorno was lying in the backseat, thankfully stirring, Gold Experience’s aura surrounding him as he was hopefully healing himself.
“Giorno!” Bruno cried, kneeling despite the glass to reach out to the boy as Mista and Narancia crowded behind him.
“Is he all right?” Mista demanded.
“He’s healing himself,” Bruno said gratefully, watching Gold’s hand cover the side of Giorno’s head. He turned to Narancia. “Find Abbacchio.”
Narancia ran off, calling out Aerosmith as Bruno touched Giorno’s shoulder gently. He moaned and shifted.
“Giorno,” he called urgently.
The blonde blinked his eyes open, the nasty cut on the side of his head slowly patching itself as Gold Experience continued working, settling a piece of new flesh formed out of shattered glass there.
“B-Bucciarati,” Giorno croaked before his eyes swept around, horror overcoming them. “Marcello…Maria!”
He tried to sit up but gasped, clutching his right arm. Bruno and Mista hurriedly eased him out of the car and settled him against Mista’s knees as Bruno examined the obviously broken wrist.
“Dammit,” Giorno gritted out. “I can’t fix broken bones easily.” He glanced around. “Where’re the others?”
“Bucciarati!” Narancia’s shrill cry sounded out, stabbing Bruno in the chest all over again.
“Stay with him,” he told Mista and rushed further down the road to where Narancia was kneeling by a collapsed figure in black.
“Hurry!” Narancia pleaded.
Bruno skidded to a stop beside him. “Leone, merda,” he breathed as he crouched and attempted to help Narancia use the tails of Abbacchio’s coat to stop the bleeding of two bullet wounds in his chest and stomach.
