YEEHAW! First of my Beast Snaggas are done, I wanted to start with the Smasha Squig and did a bit of converting to give it bull horns, and swapped the head out to give the ork a cowboy hat and bandanna. I’m very happy with the final result. These models are a ton of fun to paint and have a lot of cool details, especially with the cybernetics. More pictures under the cut.

Just in time for the new Kommando kit to be announced, here’s my squad of converted Ork Paratroopers. I had the idea of a squad of Orks that would parachute behind enemy lines... or crash behind enemy lines...whichever works.

The leader of the squad is a Forge World Ork pilot I was lucky enough to get. I’m incredibly proud of how he came out. The rest of the squad is a mix of Kromlech pilots, and converted kommandos made out of Kromlech and Stormboy bits, along with backpacks from Tamiya miniatures.

The bases are an experiment for my future Ork projects, instead of a desert wasteland I wanted to make a much more alien looking world. Orange dirt bases and neon aquarium plants. I’m very happy with the final result. The rest of the squad can be seen under the cut.

Beach Boyz Stompa!

UGH it felt like this model took forever to do! I’ve been working on it every day for the past 3 weeks of quarantine. I definitely spent at least 8 hours applying decals and another 8 hours on weathering alone. Magnetizing the arms was a total pain and took a couple of days of trying to get it to work. I’m happy with how it came out though, I’ll need to do some more weathering in the future but for now this is good enough for me to put on the tabletop... you know whenever I can leave the house and see my friends again... anyway more pics below!

First painted model of 2020! I’ve been wanting a unit of Flash Gitz since forever. I finally picked up the kit and decided...I’m going to start another army project with these. It’s time for the Orks to go on vacation. I’m going to make an army of Beach Boyz! Swim trunks, beaches, surf boards, and lots of flower prints! I picked up a bunch of nail decal stickers that are the perfect size for 28mm miniatures. This guy has at least 15 flower decals on him! They came out way better than I was expecting, I’m really happy with the final model. More photos under the cut!
