Happy Valentine's day!
Felt like drawing something small for the occasion and I've been wanting to draw Orlam again so I made this quickly! (Also, yes this is based off of that one drawing Carrot made of Orlam holding a heart! I just really liked it and wanted to draw it, sue me)
A really funny moment from when I was replaying Our Fantastic Wonderland to get the second route. I was skipping the already read dialogue, so when I got to this moment, I was like... W-wait, why is it only Orlam and Iggy here? Where's Genzou? Where is he?! What happened? Is this because I'm choosing to be preferential towards Orlam for this route? Does Genzou abandon the group in this scenario (and I've accidentally skipped over this part and didn't notice)? Did something happen to him?! My god, what have I done! I shall descend into pit of franctic panic and regret, and rethink my choices, both within this game, as well as my life!
And then, with the most perfect timing, Genzou just slowly strolls in, past Iggy, as Iggy himself is having his own little crisis.
He just had to catch up XDDD
Sadhdsja turns out that when you skip with Ctrl, some sprite animations don't keep up. I could've recreated this bug actually and the video itself is a recording of just that (bc I was too stunned to save the replay the first time xDDD) Sometimes it leads to situations where sprites don't show up at all, or do so very late - I suppose they're not loading or have to play out their animations at their own pace? Still, it resulted in this really funny situation XD For a moment, the roles have switched, and the game played me instead dskjdgas.
An Orlam to start off the year! Ignoring the fact that I started this in November.
This was just supposed to be a doodle to test out the brush I made (which is under the cut as well) but I got carried away lol. Tbh it also turned into kind of a shading practice? But I'm very happy with the results and I think I'm starting to get better at shading consistently so yay!
[Bloody version under the cut.]
With all due respect i cannot conceive of comprehending this album to any degree without having read orlam so it will be interesting to hear your verdict. As to “triggering” I would say it’s too non-linear and non sensical to be triggering however it is the most emotional thing I have ever engaged with
i will certainly try to comprehend - and even if I don't understand it all, whats to be lost from a little mystery? a lot of music doesn't fully sink in in the first few listens anyways, and with the dialect there's another layer...
from what i have read about orlam, and a few pages of a friends' copy, I think I got the general energy of it? i will be seeking out a copy from the library soon and will probably post about it when I do. i really hope it's not too much for me because I do really want to read it. nonlinear nonsensical books are some of my favourites :)

'Reaping
Once a barley seed was sown
All must be cut down once grown.
Men shall fall beneath the elm,
Under earthly overwhelm.
Free from flesh and free from blood,
All our shades flit to the wood.
Evening holds them in his gloam,
Chalky children take them home.
Merge them with the moss and leaves,
Conjure us to silent sheaves.'
