Please be mindful of the tags and read them carefully, even if you're a returning reader! I've updated them a bit to reflect the plot as it currently stands, and there are some new warnings I'd like you to take note of before proceeding.

The perfectionism and imposter syndrome strike yet again, ough,,,

Chapter 2 is so close to done and yet I'm high-key tempted to throw it all out, restart the fic and cry or something idk </3

I love slow burns.

I love reading slow burns.

I love fluffy slice-of-life moments where we get to see the characters exist in their surroundings.

But for some fucking reason, when *I* write them, my brain goes "all fluff moments are darlings that must be given Sufficient Plot Relevance or be removed at once!!! >:("

I need to throw myself in the digital lake ugh </3 (/silly)

I wish I could just have fun with this fic. I want to have fun with this fic. But I'm trying way too hard, and I know I am, and I'm killing my love of it by doing that, and I don't want to, but it's happening anyway!!!! I'm going to Lose My Mind!!!

I love this AU so much, and I'm so excited for you all to read it so you can experience the Cool Shit I've been daydreaming about for months now! But man I'm so fucking scared I'm gonna spend too much time trying to make it perfect and end up making it garbage instead, or worse, just never finish it because I don't think I could make it Good Enough </3

And I know it's fine! I know my writing is good (I'm quite proud of it, actually!), and I'm sure I'll be laughing at this post in a month or so when I've got like chapter 4 posted because I finally found my motivation again (or finally got over my perfectionism, eheh), but for right now I'm just,,,, so so frustrated.

Chapter 1 of Ossuary has finally been fixed!

It took me an embarrassingly long time to figure out how to connect literally two paragraphs, ugh. At least I'm much happier with the pacing now! There are, unfortunately, some pretty large chunks I had to cut out, but those will most likely be repurposed in later chapters :3

The fun thing about not having any canon ships in my fic is that I can throw in rarepair crumbs and no one can stop me >:3

Y'all, I regret to inform you that Ossuary will not be 7 chapters long.......

.... It will probably be closer to 10. I know, I know, grab the torches and pitch forks :(

Plus side, I'm pretty close to done with chapter 2! It's only taken so long cuz I keep getting ideas for later chapters, oof

It did get long enough I think I'll have to split it into two chapters, though. I'm not having a repeat of Cenotaph's 13k word monster of a third chapter 😵‍💫

Now that all the thumbnails are finished (and the first chapter of the fic is about halfway written), I'm happy to announce that my upcoming comic will be 28 pages long, and posted in sets of 4! You'll be learning the AU's name (and getting the fic link) when I post the first set :3

(Also I know Jax's ref is cut off, the other half has spoilers for the comic / fic. I'll share the full version eventually <3)
