EVENT: Desert Record: Time to Crash and Burn!

"Is this the promised treasure? I have to admit, I was expecting a bit, well, more." The unlikely trio's footsteps echo off the walls as Lilli's gaze moves from the entrance to the cave ahead of them. One hand rests on her lance, as if expecting danger around every turn. The other holds the strap of her bag, where a tiny blue dragon perches.

"Either the reputation this place has for thrilling adventure and danger is misplaced, or we're exceedingly lucky." Still, her eyes scan for potential danger; after all, she's never been the lucky sort.

"Ah, watch your step, Oliver. The rocks are a bit hard to navigate if you lose your footing, not to mention potential traps..."

“I am fine! Do not touch me!”

They’re fine. They’re fine. It was only a tumble from the trees — they’ve been trying to collect more branches, and stupidly they slipped and fell — and it’s just Chara’s luck, that someone spotted them.

They clutch their weak wrist, back pressed against the bark of the tree, and scowl.

“Do you not have anything better to do?!”

"Hasn't anyone told you it's rude to stare?" It came out kind of abruptly, but he couldn't really stop himself from calling it like he saw it. Daisuke wasn't dumb...well, he was, but he knew what it was. It was probably the fact he had what was essentially the equivalent of blue toddler crawling and wiggling across his shoulder. Until it lost it's balance and slipped into it's partner's arms instead.

"Never seen a cat before, dude?"

" Ya look like you know your way around this place, " he speaks up, waving over the teen from where he was perched against the side of the building. When in doubt, bother the youth. They knew how to get around the city.

" You got any idea what the deal is here? " Enjin asks, leaning his weight against the pink umbrella that he had been given by the cab driver.

" -- Kinda weird to wake up in a city I've never been to, and brought to a condo I never signed a lease for. Word is that it happens all the time. Is that right? "

It’s quite a whirlwind of emotions that one feels upon being spirited away into a strange new city, with not one familiar soul around. Mantis had only started really allowing herself to feel such emotions in the last few years, and she only ever truly expressed the full breadth of them around the Guardians. This frustration, anxiety, confusion…she could still stifle it well enough, but it caused her to walk around looking like she was fighting very hard to keep her mouth shut or else some kind of small amphibian would crawl out.

She needed to clear her head.

Fortunately this place seemed to have enough means of distraction to make her forget her troubles for a time. This museum, being the first to draw her attention, was already serving that purpose splendidly! She was currently positioned near an outdoor wind chime display, her wide eyes looking utterly entranced by the noises and shimmering metal.

“It is so melodic, so beautiful…I’ve completely forgotten if I was really upset before!”
