"Oh shit, Mantis!"
Peter lights up like...well, like a christmas tree when he sees Mantis distance, running to her in a way that almost looks like skipping. He's really that happy! He grins as he looks her over, as it seems that she's totally okay, and even better, likely from the same time as him.
Otherwise, this would be really awkward.
He scoops her up into his arms, squeezing her tight as he swings her around. Thank god he wasn't alone, his sister was here!
"I'm so glad you're here," he says with a big grin, putting her down...only to realize what she's been talking about.
"It's uh...it's a real long while until Christmas. Like several months."
Wait a minute, she knows that voice! And it knows her! A sudden spin in the direction of the sound helps Mantis catch sight of an incredibly familiar face, one that brings a grin to her face as bright as the one he's got on.
"Peter!" She helps close the gap between them, returning the tight embrace even as she's lifted right off the ground and swung about. The fronds of her antennae light up as her brother's joy and relief fills her mind, amplifying her own very similar sensations.
Obviously she was glad to see him too, so responding to what he'd said was a more pertinent matter. "Oh...well, I'm sure there are other nice holidays to celebrate before then. And we can do it together, too!" Any disappointment brought about by the lengthy period melts away as her body practically coils up like a spring, ready to bounce in excitement...then something occurs to her.
"Wait a minute...we each left Knowhere, and now I'm here, where you are..." Big ol' bug eyes dart from one side to the other, then back again before meeting the other's. "Peter, is this Missouri?"
