Going to throw this out to the tumblr universe: for people with moderate to severe psoriasis and or psoriatic arthritis, have you taken a systemic therapy? If so, what was your experience (did it help, side effects, etc). I am currently choosing between Humira and Otezla and weighing the risks/benefits - I don’t know anyone on either and if anyone would be willing to share their experience (even if you take it for another indication) I’d be so grateful. You can DM me too if you feel more comfortable.

Hate taking medicine

Currently taking otezla for psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis. It makes me so jittery and nauseous. Can I just trade dna with someone? I've had psoriasis almost my entire life, and I've got the joints of a sixty year old. Working fifty hour weeks certainly doesn't help either. If I had the willpower I would go completely vegan and gluten free to see if it would help. Rant over.

Attention Spoonies:

So my doctor is switching me from Otezla to Enbrel shots for my PsA. I’m freaking out a tad after reading rx reviews about the potential for cancer as a side effect. Is anyone on Enbrel and can you help put my mind at ease? It should I look for a second opinion from another rheumatologist?
