Conveyed almost entirely through emails and chatroom dialogue, this heartwrenching fic is so good I've tried to introduce to non-fandom friends. Brief Update
Okay, so given tumblr's AI debacle, I feel like I should give a brief summation of my thoughts.
So. It sucks that tumblr is doing this. Currently, it seems like you can prevent tumblr from scraping your content, which is good. I've turned that on for all my active blogs. I don't know how much it protects, but as long as it seems like it's not scraping old posts, I'm going to keep my writing up here.
As for new writing... I'm not sure. I may hold off on posting here for a while. I'll still be around, may even reblog a few things, but don't expect a ton of writing from me very soon.
As for alternatives, I've been asked if I have other sites where I will be posting my writing. AO3 has come up, which means I should mention that because AO3 is primarily for fanworks and my writing is original, I don't post there. I know that they allow 'fannish' original works, but that's so poorly defined as to be useless. I know other people post their original writing there, but I honestly just don't prefer to do so.
That being said, I have created a Cohost account and a Bluesky account. I haven't' posted anything on either, but I am @love-and-monsters on Cohost and @loveandmonsters on Bluesky. I'll be slowly crossposting my stuff to Cohost and I will be posting general writing updates on Bluesky. I may also look into getting a Twitter for this account, but we'll see. If there are other sites you think I should look into for posting my writing, please let me know.

Tumblr's future is a bit shaky.
Obviously the transphobia of the CEO is not exactly winning any favors with me but if Tumblr actually does go with the Midjourney partnership; then I will unfortunately have no choice but to finally leave here.
It's hard; I have a strong attachment to this place, I believe I first started posting when I was around 19, I'm now turning 34.
It sucks that good things are so frequently ruined by white men in power but hey.
