Summary: Even Ultra Magnus himself couldn’t fool Megatron to this degree. It should be utterly humiliating. But going head to head against such an opponent is more exhilarating than any battle Megatron has been a part of. Oh what he wouldn’t do to get his servos on this infuriatingly intelligent mech. “Until we meet again, Optimus Prime.” Megatron sent the Autobot a feral grin. Optimus didn’t smile, but he never looked away from Megatron. Accepting the challenge head-on. “I would be glad to kick your skidplates again sometime, Lord Megatron.” Or: Optimus Prime is alive during the Great War and everything changes because of it. Well, mostly everything.

Summary: They stay that way for a long time, Catra’s face tucked into Adora’s shoulder, Adora gently cradling Catra’s head. Adora is careful not to hug Catra too hard or make her feel restrained, anticipating the moment that Catra will start to pull away — but Catra doesn’t. She hangs on so tightly it hurts, her claws digging through Adora’s jacket and into her back, latching into her like she did when she was a kitten and didn’t know how much her claws could hurt. Adora tries not to wince, tries not to move a single muscle, worried that if she does the spell will break and Catra will struggle away, appalled at having shown weakness. But Catra doesn’t let go. And so neither does Adora.

Summary: Darth Vader, the strong arm of the Sith, held loyal to his Order since they took he and his mother from slavery in the deserts of Tatooine. Until he became convinced they killed his wife. He abandoned his Order and disappeared in the chaos of the Clone Wars, presumed dead by all sides. That young Skywalker is known around town as a widower and homesteader; a Nabooian who emigrated to avoid the trade blockade; a father of overly-energetic twins and warding a Togruta war orphan; a decent mechanic if your farm equipment or maintenance droid is acting up. Anakin is a paranoid, over-protective hot mess doing his best to raise his weird pack the way Padmé would have wanted. How the hell is he supposed to do that when his kids and not-apprentice make him haul a half-dead Jedi Master home like a lost pet?
