OHOHOH! How would Strickler and Otto (separated or only one whatever is best for u) react to Reader bringing a puppy home and saying it's bc it reminds them of Them? Sorry just got a pupper and I'm in love

Don't be sorry I love dogs !!!

Strickler

You find a peppered English cocker spaniel on your morning walk. The poor thing looks ragged and you can tell its more or less tame so you scoop them up in your arms before taking them back to the house. This poor dog needed to be rescued stat.

It doesn't have a collar and after a quick trip to the vet it isn't chipped either. Guess the dogs yours now.

Strickler is very OCD if you want any chance of keeping this dog you need to make them presentable. They don't like it but you wrestle them into a bath and wash them off. Once their clean you dry them off and brush out their matted furr. You trim their coat as best you can and carefully clip their nails. They aren't very happy with you but a fluffy towel patting and some dog treats later and now they absolutely love you.

"But Strickler it looks like you." Making pleading dog eyes as you hold up the dog Strickler signs taking a deep breath. About to say absolutely not he pauses. The dog did have green colored eyes and peppered fur similar to his hair color. It was also English. He groans giving in.

Reluctantly he agress that the dog can stay. A week later he's a total dog dad and in love with the pupper. Argos is doing amazing in his new home and is absolutely spoiled to death.

Otto

You found the poor dog on the side of the road and decided that was unaccapetable. They looked okay for being abandoned but they were skinny and needed food, water and a bath.

Taking pity on the brown German pimscher you lead them home with some treats you had in your pocket before getting them settled in the garage. Running inside you get any supplies you have in the house and head outside to help the poor pooch.

Knowing Otto wouldn't say yes unless the dog looked better you begin cleaning the poor guy up. Your able to brush their furr as they eat some food you'd gotten. When you finsih they curl up in your lap refusing to move. Giving them a kiss you pick them up taking them inside.

You named the dog Chocolate after his lush brown coat and because you and Otto love chocolate so much. Plus you just find it cute. Whenever you call that name he wags his tail so you think he likes it too.

When Otto comes home hes surprised to find the dog but he isn't mad. Holding the puppy close you make a pleading face. The dog whines and Otto is such a sap because seeing you and the dog he gives in. Chocolate now lives a very pampered life and you and Otto love him to death.

(I’m procrastinating on homework so have some rambling headcanons)

I’ve said before my headcanons for changelings are that they’re magically kind of unstable. The way they were made combined human and several kinds of troll for each of them, so they’re not even exactly the same kind of troll they were born as anymore (this headcanon obviously disregards reused models in show, and is also part of my Strickler being part Stalkling but it’s not what he was originally compromise). So to true trolls a changeling is like a weird, body horror monster. Not quite right.

It’s a double edged sword in that they can be more vulnerable to magic, especially if it targets their shapeshifting abilities somehow, but they’re also fairly in tune with some of it and recover quickly. Like most things changeling, there’s no one rule as each one of them was affected differently by their creation.

Like - Strickler is pretty decent at casting spells with the proper materials to help him along, but Nomura can’t cast much of anything. She is, however, incredibly sensitive to to magic. Which makes her like a bloodhound for finding, say...obscure bits of rock that might otherwise get looked over but belong to a certain bridge.

So that, combined with the limitations her human form would have had over a lot of history means Nomura spent a lot of her human lives living as some kind of bandit, or pirate, or unscrupulous adventurer that allowed her to hunt down and take magical artifacts. She also had a great time doing it.

As time went on and humanity advanced a bit it became harder for her to get away with the outlaw life but also more opportunities opened up for her human form. So she entered academia and became a curator, essentially serving the same role as far as hunting and acquiring bridge pieces. Being in charge of the museum and assembly of the bridge also grants her more power within the Janus Order and now that she’s a little less young and wild ends up being a pretty appealing post.

In the same way Strickler spent most of his human lives as some form of teacher or tutor - education was for most of history a luxury of the upper class. So it put him in a position where he had access to the top 1% without the scrutiny of actually being one of them.

For Otto I see him taking on a lot of merchant roles for some reason? Honestly I had a picture of him in my head as one of those old timey snake oil salesmen and it was pretty good. He has the freedom to travel with access to money, can move the goods that Nomura finds and launder Strickler’s ill-gotten gains

So yeah that’s some of my working headcanons for changelings and the Janus Disaster Trio.

AAAA OTTO MAKES ME SO SOFT😔

What about Sick and very tired boy getting some love? He doesn't want to look like he's sick but the reader won't let it happen. Many kisses for the boy and trying to keep him still and not work lsksjsjsj

You pushed the papers he'd try to grab when you werent looking away from him. Otto gasped in disbelief angrily stuttering in German and you chuckled at his expression as you leaned in to give him a soft kiss. "I already said no love." You say sternly as you tuck the papers out of reach.

"Libeling..." He whines and you chuckled laying him back into the pillows you'd propped up before putting a warm cup of tea into his hands. He needed to drink, rest, and sleep.

"Work can wait. I promise you the Order will be standing when you go back." You state hands cupping his feverish face. "You must eat and sleep and rest." You hum patiently even as he weakly struggles against your affections. Giving him kisses he struggles before leaning into your cool touch purring and chirping as you kiss his heated face.

"Please just a form..." He begs but your already crawling into bed settling into the nest.

Laying on top of him to keep him still you nod no with a small smile before closing your eyes cuddling close. He coughs and you snuggle closer. "Rest with me you'll feel better." He wants to argue to fight but as you lean up stealing another kiss giggling as his stubble tickles you, he huffs no longer able to fight your affections or his own brain begging for slumber.

Going limp arms wrapping around you he smiles before chirping head resting on top of yours as he closes his eyes to sleep.

"Goodnight love." You mumble and Ottos heart flutters as he holds you closer.

"Goodnight libeling..." He says softly feeling better as you sleep in his arms.

Otto: The smell of chocolate, honey brown eyes, praises whispered in german, face kisses, delicious pastries, falling asleep at the desk, shuffling papers late at night, irritated growls, hands ruffling through your hair, claws against wood, the distant playing of a gramaphone, secrets murmered as your held close, cute nicknames, long bubble baths with wine, glares sent at others, mistrust, missing people, buried secrets, hidden weapons, pretty flowers, fine dining, sharing stories, sweets.

Could we maybe have soft morning moments with Otto? He doesn't get enough sleep and Reader is there to give him his coffee and kisses but also scold him

You wake up as light leaks through your windows into the room. Yawning as you look towards the clock it's early morning. Turning to give Otto a good morning kiss he isn't there. Confused you shift before looking towards the door and see it's open a crack. Light floods in the hallway from his office. Realizing he never came to bed last night and that he was still working you slip on your night robe before creeping put of your shared room and into his office.

The man was mumbling something as you walked in. Too focused on his work to notice you sneak into his office. His eyes were glowing frustrated as he scrambled to finish something and you frowned seeming him so stressed.

Wrapping your arms around him and kissing his neck you lean against him tired.

"You were supposed to come to bed." You mumble before nuzzling into his neck. Otto stiffens in surprise before he smiles leaning back in his office chair so he can get a better look at you. You smile and he brings a hand up to rub is knuckles across your cheek.

"I know liebling. I know..." He answers before looking back at his work. Groaning you lean on his chair looking at what he's doing.

"Make Stricklander handle it. Maybe Nomura or some other Changeling or just finish it up when you've actually had some sleep." You whine gently pulling at him. You wanted to cuddle with your husband. He should be in bed with you, not sitting at his desk doing busy work.

Otto chuckles and reaching up he gently cups your face giving you a tender kiss before pulling away so he's looking into your eyes.

"I promise dear soon." He states.

"You said that like six hours ago." You huff as you grab his hand and begin to pull on him harder. "Gunmars been imprisoned for hundreds of years. He can wait another day." Otto chuckles at your remark before glancing at his paperwork. Sighing he nods and stands up letting you drag him to bed.

The dark lord could wait right now you needed him and he needed some sleep.
