“Gideon and the pixie chicks has a night ring to it.”
Thought it would be fun to design the carnival pixie brides! Design points under the cut:
Bixie- originally engaged to Gricko, she got the krew in on a flash mob in pixie kingdom and was the first of the pixies to be engaged. Her flower of choice is sweetpea, which represents bliss and fond memories. For her gown I wanted to give her a feathery whimsical look, classic Disney princess affair. With a less auspicious veil allowing her curls and pearls to take center stage. Her wings are based on the Silvery Blue moth! For each of the pixies I wanted their color schemes to match who they were originally engaged to, so she’s blue for Gricko! But leaning more cobalt than sky.
Zaxie- originally engaged to Kremy, she was proposed to on a whim when a cursed Kremy needed taffy. I wanted to lean full ‘unconventional bride’ who goes with the flow and is here for a fun time. Her flower of choice is the anemone, representing sincerity and new beginnings. For her gown I wanted to go sleek and chic, going black instead of the usual white with some floral decal and sparkle. Her veil is much longer to compliment her short pixie cut (haha). I also gave her a tattoo sleeve and septum piercing for funsies. She’s edgy and hip. Her wings are based on the Mournful Thyris moth! She of course is purple, for Kremy Lecroux himself.
Taxie- Taxie gets her engagement to Gideon in exchange for giving a new ticket to Frost after he loses his. Her flower of choice is the orchid, representing beauty, love, and luxury. She is full Barbie-doll Charlotte Lebouf, a big poofy princess dress with shoulder-length gloves and a diamond choker. Her hair is done up in a huge bun with a very long, very sparkly veil. Everything about her look is extra just how she likes it. Her wings are based on the Chestnut Emperor moth! And she is a warm peachy color for Gideon.
