What format do you use for your lab notebook? Mine is quite messy

I mostly take notes by hand as I do stuff - so like the classic write down what you did thing, and then also print out worked up data/graphs/pictures and tape those in

how comprehensive and how messy it is depends on the day tbh, but i have had to refer back to old notebooks a bunch recently so I’m trying to do a better job keeping it up to date and organized, but we’ll see how long that lasts

it’s not like, bullet journal level organized or anything, and the only referencing system I use is just the date, so there’s that

My favourite thing about this is the assumption that I am on the verge of getting into a wine bath
