Gonna try to do some sort of 'tober project this year again, with the aim of doing some sort of quick drawing from my setting Uanlikri everyday.

Starting off this with oujabe - oujabe belong to a family of very highly derived quadrupedal and carnivorous hadrosaurs. They're a domestic species with a breadth of purpose analogous to that of dogs in our world.

Most oujabe are very brightly colored, with red and green being the most standard coloration. This oujabe is of a landrace with especially pronounced noses and sagital crests, and is a rather low-red specimen. An oujabe's coloration is made up of yellow and red carotenoid pigments, and blue melanin-based structural colors overlayed together to create the visual effect of green. Because these two classes of pigments are affected differently by genetic mutations affecting coloration, most oujabe have yellow spots where other animals would have white spots, much like a budgies.

Northern striped neniên, a very fast pack predator from the Zaroub and other brushland around the Atashir desert. Northern striped neniên are like if a gnu was very fast and wanted to eat you.

Catøe (cha-teu-ay), a scavenger with a naked neck much like a vulture, whose name translates to "death devourer". It is one of the more ominous symbols of the god of Decay, to the contrary of actual vultures.

Ranai's sacred oujabe. Ranai's sacred oujabe is a breed born of a cross between oujabe and the wild, native jiwi, which is also sacred to the Ranai people. On the mainland, jiwi crosses are largely seen as undesireable because of their difficult temperaments and picky mating habits, but in Ranai they are a highly regarded breed used as temple guardians and for other religious duties.

All of these are from a highly derived, quadrupedal and carnivorous off-branch of hadrosaurs.

Fetwê

, a minuscule diurnal pterosaur, polinizer of large flowers and devourer of overripe fruit.

Painted clouds, a genus of secondarily flightless arboreal pterosaurs, thieves of shiny items and bane of gardens.

Oujabe, domestic, beloved, gardians of homes and sacred places, but also sometimes feral and mangy and persecuted.

Gacari, tiny, lithe, and omnivorous, roam the street at nights in large packs and raid trash, worm boxes and cricket coops for any passably edible protein.
