This was the first vacation we have taken since EMMA was 9 months old. And by vacation, I mean, not sleeping in a tent, or under some sort of duress, driving off the beaten path for a “special secret” camp sight by a raging river, or hiking in the dark past a no trespassing sign kind of vacation. We vacationed at my parents home in AZ and it was splendid, so relaxing. We did nothing, but watch the kids swim and take them to a movie. Side note: we did hike and before we even hit the path, we found a scorpion on Brian’s backpack 🙈and as we finished our hike (sweating up a storm), the Park Ranger was being filmed by the local news about the dangers of hiking in midday summer heat and the very real dangers of monsoons. We were on camera-that family, doing exactly what he’s warning the general public not to do. Don’t think, I didn’t miss that opportunity to poke at Brian a bit 😂. In the end, as all the days before and all the days to come, we are thankful ❤️. We have really good kids and a great marriage. And we laugh a lot. #ourmantra #willmersonthemove
