He never looked for praises, he was never one to boast, he just went on quietly working, for the ones he loved the most. His dreams were seldom spoken, his wants were very few and most of the time his worries went unspoken too. Go ahead and grab some tissues...💔 The best part about a new year is getting to celebrate my grandpa’s birthday & then of course mine 😉 Today he would’ve been the ripe ole age of 78. Unfortunately he lost his short battle with lung cancer back in 2002. Never smoked a day in his life but was over exposed to asbestos when he worked for a light company... There are many days that I wish he was still here; as I’m sure my grandma and parents do too. I know he would be so proud of my dad, especially, for stepping up when he didn’t have to. He’d be proud of my grandma for finding herself after she was lost for a few years. & of course my mom for keeping us all together. He was the absolute rock to our little family and even though I know he is having a blast in heaven I really wish he was here. Like really wish. He taught me everything I know about taking things apart and putting them back together with extra pieces 😂 He even taught me a little bit about wood working one summer. & I’m pretty sure he is the reason why I got my first dog years ago too ❤️ So happy birthday grandpa!
