PHONE CALL 📞 CHLOKENZIE

KENZIE: saw that her phone had service and didn't even pause for a second before her finger was pressing the phone icon next to CeCe's name. There was nothing more important to her than knowing that her sister was okay. Her hand shook as she lifted the phone to her ear, letting the fear of this whole thing finally hit her. She broke down in tears, a loud sob leaving her mouth as she slid down to the floor, listening to the ringing on the other hand and just hoping for an answer.

THYME: First and foremost, I do not want to hear any variation of the words "I'm sorry." You do not get to be sorry. What you did goes way beyond the point that any "sorry" can fix. I'm also not going to listen to any kind of excuse, because there is nothing that can excuse you kissing somewhen when they have a girlfriend, and when you're married.

THYME: I don't know why you thought you had any right to kiss Robin, and I don't care. I've talked to her and from what I understand, you have had years to kiss her. And you decide to do it now when you're married? Nevermind that she's dating someone, you decide at a point that's way past the last minute that kissing her is a good idea? You had your chance at that. You don't get to make your bed and then decide you don't want to lie in it

THYME: I thought you were my friend. More importantly, I thought you were Robin's friend, or at least that you cared about her enough to not do something like this to her.

THYME: Like I said, I do not want to hear the word sorry. And if you have anything to say to Robin, I'd much rather you say it to me than have any contact with her. She doesn't need any more pain in her life.

WHO: Silas Smythe and @ceceharps WHEN: 9/29/17 WERE: The space Silas bought in Little Rock SUMMARY: Silas surprises CeCe with the location he bought as a way to help her. NOTES / WARNINGS: Mentions of alcoholism

While he knew it would be best to wait until tomorrow, Silas couldn’t help but want to show CeCe what he had done that night. Hearing the way she was talking, just knowing how sad she seemed -- it felt like the right thing to do. So, he capped his paints, wiped his hands off, and headed out to his truck, fully planning on making the drive all the way back to Cotton Plant just to come all the way back to Little Rock. It’d be worth it, he knew it would be. 

As he sat in his truck, driving back home, he could feel that small bit of paranoia seeping into him. What if she didn’t like the location? What if it was all too soon? What if -- What if -- So many what ifs. But he turned the volume all the way up on his radio, letting the sounds of his phone playlist take him back home to pick up his best friend. 

He may have broke a law or two, mostly out of excitement. But the more he thought about it -- the more he thought about them building the place together -- it made that paranoia go away. Hopes for the future and things going smoothly. He had already started the renovations himself -- breaking up the old tile floors, priming the walls for painting, and even starting a small mural on one of the walls that would be added to with her designs as well. Things were going to work out. 

As he pulled up to Cece’s place, sending her a quick text to let her know he was there -- he pulled a dark blue bandanna from his glove box. He was hoping that she’d trust him -- because it wouldn’t make much of a surprise if she saw where they were going. But he leaned back in his seat, waiting for her to join him in his truck, almost fidgeting with anticipation.
