MACKENZIE LOUISE HARPER 26. Daughter. Nurse. Pisces. Everyone calls me Kenzie, and no one calls me Mack. I mean...You can if you want? My sisters are my best friends, my conscience, and one used to be my roommate, but now she lives in the apartment below me. She's a sweet little angel, and if you mess with her you have to deal with me. I'm tougher than I look, I swear. I'm also a nurse. I love my job more than words can say. It's hard, demanding, and at times, unbearably sad, but it's a job that needs to be done, and I wouldn't trade it for the world. If you've found your way here, you probably already know who I am, and probably know that my parents own a meat farm. I'm on constant missions to rescue cows, but they just refuse to climb the stairs to my apartment. You can win me over by helping me become successful in my ever lasting mission to be a proud owner of a pet cow. I also like pizza.

KING: I don't think so. I'm kinda regretting going today, but I'm sure that'll change after the fact. You can tell whoever you want, it's not like they'd believe you anyway. 😝

KENZIE: Is that the only reason? Maybe don't let everyone see it, but it's okay to let the important people see it. Are you sure about that?

KENZIE: I get that, but I'll still tell you that you don't need to be. It's okay to let people see it, feeling weak sucks, but sometimes letting other people see it can help. Shhh, don't make me take it back.

ROBIN: What happened?

KENZIE: I'm not sure. I got called down to the ER and she was there. Someone I don't know brought her in. She was drunk, and passed out, I guess. They already had her on a heart rate monitor and oxygen monitor and an IV when I got here.

KENZIE: They're basically just waiting for her to sober up enough and observing her.

KENZIE: She got drunk and she drank too much.

KENZIE: She's okay, but she's here, and hasn't woken up yet.

KENZIE: Anyways, I just thought you should know.

ALI: I understand that. Thank you, though, for at least trying.

ALI: Since she left my house a few days ago. We were supposed to be giving each other space. But I tried texting her a couple hours ago and didn’t get a response.

[A few hours later]

KENZIE: She's here. At the hospital.

KENZIE: She's okay, like, physically. She was really drunk and someone brought her in.

KENZIE: She's passed out, but they have her on IV fluids, and they're monitoring her breathing. She should wake up in a couple of hours. Maybe you should come here.

KING: But still a little hopeless? How long? Like is it a forever thing or will I just get lucky after a few days? Right, so at least she knows I’m sorry. Not sure if she believes me, but she knows nonetheless. Nah, she meant it. A drunk mind speaks a sober heart, and I’m pretty sure baby girl was lit that day. I’d say we can just cross that bridge when we get there, but we probably won’t get there.

KING: No, ma’am. Why? Has she disappeared?

KENZIE: Maybe. I don't know, I think it's probably different for everyone. That's good. I'm sure that if she doesn't know, she will soon. Alright, so just because she meant it in the moment doesn't mean she thinks that's what you are in general. Probably not, but we can get there with yours.

ALI: Oh, I don’t expect for you to speak for her. I know she’s hurting right now and I hate it, but.... I didn’t expect for her to ignore my texts. That’s why I thought I would ask.

KENZIE: No, I know. I just meant that it's hard for me to answer how she is. Yeah...That's surprising to me, too.

KENZIE: When was the last time you talked to her?

KING: Are you saying you feel hopeful now? And if so, how do I get to that point in my life? I don’t know. I just didn’t expect her to tell me that she doesn’t forgive me nor does she trust me. Also you know how you said I’m not an asshole? Well, I was reading through our messages and she called me an asshole. So I’m preeeeetty sure that means I’m an asshole. How are you ever gonna know if you don’t try to solve them?

KING: Good. Did CeCe have a problem with it? Oh, so people just suck then? That makes waaaay more sense.

KENZIE: I don't feel completely hopeless. You gotta work at it, I think. Oh, that sucks, I'm sorry. But I'm taking it that you apologized, right? So that's good, even if she doesn't forgive you, it's good to apologize. Wow. Maybe she was just hurt, maybe she didn't mean that. I don't think you are one, so I don't believe she meant it. I don't know.

KENZIE: Speaking of CeCe, I'm sure I know the answer to this, but you don't happen to be with her, right?
