After capturing St. Paul's (see my next post), then my little day trip to Balcombe Viaduct: 11 million bricks et voila... An ornate and impressive structure. Designed by John Urpeth Rastrick and architect David Mocatta. W poprzednich postach pisałem że zwiedzając #Wakehurst, można zwiedzić jeszcze coś więcej. Fakt, ten wiadukt #OuseValleyViaduct już był u mnie w galerii. Ale aby utrzymać wątek, wrzucę jego inne spojrzenie, znajduje się dosłownie około 20 minut na wschód od Wakehurst. To miejsce jest bardzo popularne, więc gdy zjawimy się w pogodne popołudnie, musimy się liczyć z dłuższym oczekiwaniem, na czysty kadr. No chyba że ma się nic przeciwko temu by w rodzinnej galerii, zagościli obcy ludzie :))) Ale uważam że warto odwiedzić, wdrapać się na przęsło i zrobić sobie fotkę. 🔴The Ouse Valley Viaduct🔴 . ⚫It carries the London-Brighton Railway Line over the River Ouse in Sussex, UK. ⚫Construction of the Ouse Valley Viaduct began during 1839. ⚫The viaduct is 96 feet (29 m) high and is carried on 37 semi-circular arches, spanning a total length of 1,480 feet (450 m). ⚫It required roughly 11 million bricks for its construction , the viaduct was officially opened to train services on 12 July 1841. . .
