25 Days of JAMMF, Day 24: Favorite Enemy Encounter
1x9 “The Reckoning”
Taking on BJR ARMED WITH AN EMPTY PISTOL AND HIS BARE HANDS:
Claire has been taken captive by Black Jack Randall, which as you can only imagine, is Jamie’s worst nightmare realized.
He bands together his comrads and they go to rescue his wife from the most despicable person any of them have ever encountered. The mission of bringing Claire back is extremely dangerous and could result in any of their deaths or capture.
But Jamie, full of fiery vengeance, will stop at nothing to deliver his bride.
When finally they get to Fort William, Jamie scales down the side of the tower to reach Claire.
Just before he has made his way to the window, he hears Claire scream out in terror. Jamie surges forward and jumps into the opening, readying himself for whatever is about to unfold.
Just before BJR is about to maul his wife, Jamie punches through the window, armed with nothing but an empty pistol and his bare hands.
Eyes blazing with righteous wrath, Jamie stares down evil itself and says,
‘I’ll thank ye to take your hands off my wife.’
The protection of his body as his only true shield, Jamie leaps into the room. His face is aflamed with violent protection as he sees his wife being violated and harmed.
However, Jamie must play along with BJR’s demands to prevent further assault on Claire. Jamie surrenders his “weapon” and right as BJR is about to use it against Jamie, it makes a gloriously click: IT IS EMPTY.
Jamie, full of pleasure and a scream of fury, waltzes over, and COMPLETELY KNOCKS BLACK JACK OUT.
Cutting his wife free from the ropes that bound her, Jamie wraps her in a cloak and his arms. And Claire never doubted that he would come.
Jamie will stop at NOTHING ever to save the woman he loves.
February 11—What Book/Season 1 moment were you looking forward to the most?
I discovered the show first and so there was nothing I was exactly anticipating.
However, with that being said, I was extremely hopeful that Jamie and Claire would one day be together.
Then when I realized at the end of 1x6 that they were getting married the next episode, well, let’s just say I was particularly excited for Jamie and Claire...to be together.
Needless to say, I was not disappointed.
Ok, only now that's almost noon on Easter day, and here in Italy it means that in about an hour I'll get three generation of relatives at least, ready for a food marathon * that's what we do. we eat. all day. and that's it*... Now and only now I start to question my judgement when I deliberately decided to stay up until 7 in the morning for the midseason premiere of Outlander.
Nah, it was still worthed, I missed so much the frenzy of these crazy nights endlessly looking for a damn working live stream....
