So I mentioned a few weeks ago that my idea for the upcoming Outlast 3 game would having it be set 10-to-15 years post-Outlast 1+2, in the Arctic wastes.

It would be interesting to see how Murkoff is still up to their old tricks after their blatant abuse of human rights were revealed to the public. I feel like them conducting their inhumane experiments in the most isolated part of the world would be a very "sensible" thing for them to do.

I also really love the idea of trying to survive a frozen wasteland while being pursued by frostbitten maniacs armed with their teeth, pick-axes and their bloody fists.

But we won’t be getting it anytime soon because they are still working on updates on the trials which I don’t pay much attention to but I’m trying and learn a bit about it. Cannot quite determine if Outlast 3 is a wild departure from the political tone of the previous 2 (and a half) or if it’s a genius level commentary to suddenly become a multiplayer game with grind mechanics, putting you in a situation where you (and friends!) have to slog through torture tasks to earn enough gamebucks to customize your prison cell
