I wanted Sara to flip the script on him so badly at the end, but it just returned to the usual form. What if she was killing all the Craigslist people she made videos on? What if it was hinted at while she steadily escalates she is actually a killer who could kill the Creep? Hunter become the hunted and all that

Dude, I’m being so serious when I say that I cheered the moment Sara had the upper hand and ‘killed’ Josef after this entire estate of events that transpired from before.

Like, genuinely, I was cheering for Sara to get away with murder and end the movie wondering if she’d post the video on YouTube to garner the views she wanted or leave it as is and never look back. But, hey, I’m no director, and I do like the idea of a Creep 3 coming into fruition. (I know there’s the Creep Tapes, but I haven’t watched them yet, so I don’t have a proper opinion on them)

But with how Sara was acting throughout the movie, I thought her eventual frustrations of being a lackluster Youtuber would end with her killing Josef. Not with him just pushing her buttons but also exposing herself to doing/saying things she wouldn’t normally do. Like, holy hell, never in my life would I expect for someone to strip naked in front of a stranger they barely knew for a YouTube video. Or living in his house, traveling alongside him, or scaring the hell out of him with tape on your face.

Girl had issues, but that’s okay, we all do.

I also expected since Josef was having a mid-life crisis as a serial killer (hilarious concept btw) that his age would be bested by a younger/more thrilling killer. Maybe Sara finds herself doing exactly what Josef did, finding and killing people like him who say they’re ‘killers’ but get killed by her in the end. And she uploads their life stories online or through a dark web forum or whatnot to get herself the thrill of attention from online communities.

Or maybe the ending was going to reveal that Josef had a network of killers like him that garnered victims, recorded them, and posted them for their own communities to see. And since Josef had died, then the next ‘creep’ would come in to hunt Sara, and while Sara would kill them, the next ‘creep’ would follow her and the next and the next and the next.

But then the ending happened, and I just awkwardly stared at my screen like this.

Like, I’m not angry, just slightly disappointed/intrigued by what could happen next.

Ben is the type of guy that, if you confessed that you’re gay or have no sexual attraction, he’ll look you dead in the eye and ask: Are you sure?

Is it really BAD to mention that the Blood Drive event has NOTHING to do with Easterman, and tracking hormonal changes has EVERYTHING to do with the Morphogenic Engine? A necessary part of the Engine process is hormone therapy, and all patient reports in Outlast will mention a specific hormone schedule for each patient.

We also know women are more strongly affected by the Engine given the phantom pregnancies, and due to Jeremy Blaire’s email, “Miscarried Profits.”

We do know Avellanos was in the hospital wing and IS hiding something. She always has been. I wonder if she was secretly drawing blood from Amelia to check out how much she’s been affected, given Amelia’s (and of course, Liliya’s) connection to egregore and Wernicke’s obsession with that concept. And Avellanos can’t just SAY that to Easterman, because Easterman doesn’t KNOW about the Engine. Yet. We might be reaching that critical point soon here.

for all the gore in the game, the devs were very restrained when it came to anything sexual. idk if we want to be unserious about it and say ben is asexual, or if the devs were trying to avoid the more politically turbulent area of sex referential content. ex. it wouldn't be out of bounds or even that difficult to have easter eggs like evidence of ben putting stolen laundry in his mask to huff like paint thinner
