Somewhat unsurprisingly, Valentino and Velvette are sulking after the power failure. He’s handled the worst of the due apologies, owed for the inconvenience, and excused himself from the rest of his normal meetings. Any that couldn't be rescheduled could put up with Hellaina, or send him a stroppy email for a 15% off coupon.
He's curled up on his couch, his head leaning against the armrest with his head tilted towards the ceiling, and twisting between his fingers, his wedding band. He'd stopped wearing it years ago, but so had Alastor. If anyone bothered to look, they'd never guess there had ever been more between them than friendship. There was bound to be a record around somewhere, unless something had happened to it in an extermination.
He pauses in his spinning, holding the ring up to his line of sight, he twists it, letting it catch the ambient light. Had Alastor gotten rid of his or just stopped wearing it? Was this the last vestige of their marriage?
He's brought from his reverie when his door chime sounds. "Come in," he calls, and his dear PA walks in, waving an ornate envelope. "What's this?"
The eel demon shrugs, passing it to him. "Royal summons-- it was just delivered."
Vox blinks, accepting the missive and scanning it quickly. The Princess of Hell requested his presence at the Hazbin Hotel... well that's unexpected. He pulls himself to his feet, tucking the ring into his pocket, and adjusts his sleeves. "Well then, I suppose I should go see what the fuss is about." He says, and his PA nods.
Usually, he'd get a lift, travelling via the electrical current left him feeling rough, at best, and typically a bit disoriented, but he was already feeling a bit rough and disoriented, and time seemed to be of the essence.
He pulls himself though the wires, out the tower and across the city to reform outside the Hotel. He pats his pocket, ring still there, phone, and tired as he is, he pulls his grin together and knocks on the door, he's speaking before it's properly open. "Hello, I do believe I'm expected? At least the letter my PA delivered leads me to think as much."
