Outrage fatigue must have been a thing in the late 60s but I don’t think that I remember feeling like this in my adult life.
Sometimes I feel like the fartholes in government are actually being quite adept at overwhelming people like me and keeping me paralyzed with a “where do I even start” feeling. Chaos benefits them. And we certainly seem to be experiencing chaos in our public/political life.
And, I will say, that if this is how he runs his companies he is just an unethical predatory bully than he is some titan of industry. Manipulation through chaos and shifting positions and lies and false leverage is so far from the ethical way companies should be run and profits should be made that he should have been done a long time ago.

I am “retired” and trying to write and join writing groups here and spend my time writing fiction. And cooking. And reading. It’s not hell. But back in my old home of Chicago, the ICE raids have begun, albeit a…
This is a recommend read for people who are and have been struggling with elevated anger, frustration, and outrage over the past several months.
Fandom drama, outrage over bad conduct by celebrities, anger at world events -- all of these take our toll, and social media is designed to make us angry and keep us angry. Secondary impacts like lashing out at others, shaming and guilting others who don't perform the same outrage, and scapegoating people who disagree in any way are signs that a break is needed.
It's valid to feel emotions, but it's also important to not steep in them or let them drive you to toxic behavior.
Be well.
No well-capitalized resistance to the gun lobby.
No mass movement of people willing to risk the consequences of being part of an organized and lasting resistance movement.
