Sadness you've found a way to  creep in Even when the wind brings peace You come and go and for moments win Two tunnels one view, turn to the skies  Hoping to see with the mind Telling the heart it feels only lies Comfort schemes and funny things  Distract whats real, living in day dreams Confident at times Assured all is well  But loneliness and doubt otherwise tell To take back all that was and or not said To ignore the heart and march ahead? These hands were held like none before  A few close nights wishing for more To call, to visit, to wait or respond  To give local chances or hold this distant bond  Unsure mind what is it you know  For actions and others say let go  Convincing heart what shall one show? Lay it all out or in secret stay low? Wanting and needing  Are far from the same  A growing good thing with no future aim Whats written was sent Only we know what we meant  Sweet and charming  but with what intent? To fill a lonely void while you settle back home? Now  time zones away and you're still alone A distance only one was willing to go  Expressing a desire that in person would show  how a swipe and a match, was able to grow  A postponed trip,  now we'll never know Its a shame all the effort months you put in  Maybe all a game The good girl, a challenge to win  Perspectives and values captured your mind Not expecting to like her, she was a rare kind  You said it yourselves, and knew from the start But still let your to do list drift you two apart  She was improving, body mind and soul  Busy lifestyle, achieving goal after goal Becoming her best while you became yours But talking and texting slowly became chores She respected your space and never questioned if you cared  And to accept other options her feelings never dared  Even when messages slowly stopped coming from who she most cared  You stopped pursuing, got to wrapped up in your head  And she got used to not talking every night before bed  All she wanted was to hear a goodnight But a couple minutes or sleeping was her lost fight She did not grow angry but now reality see That he did not want her and she had to let him be Life has it's course, and time dictates all To heal and move on was her painful call  And you not responding felt like the worst  but accepting the fact that she cannot come first  Helped her forgive, close her heart once again For a loss you will feel, but who knows when  Pray that timing finds favor if that day may come And that Gods will above our always be done Goodbye for now goodbye my friend
