What even is the Spotlight Of The Week?
It's a post with you as its spotlight. You can choose to include works that you're proud of, a blurb for your stories, or even your contributions to a community work. Even if you haven't done any of these, we can add what you like writing or any other things like that. Suggestions are always open! We'll work together to create your spotlight post (either in DM's or a community).
Edit (2025-12-14): Fanfic authors definitely count! Anyone who writes is welcome, whether that be poetry, original works, or fanfiction. Even songwriters, too!
Things you should know:
I will be informing you beforehand if you are nominated, through either your direct messages or an ask. Please make sure one of the two are on/open. When I message you, I will tell you what week you are (eg. week #8, week #3). To confirm that you are either accepting or declining, please directly message me, telling me what week you are. (eg. 'hey, for the spotlight of the week thing, i'm week #4 and i'd love to except!/i respectfuly decline)
You will be contacted through my main blog, @coherent-thoughts-needed.
How to get nominated:
Send me an ask with your nominee's main blog, or writing blog.
You can nominate yourself! I promise I won't think you're weird or anything, go ahead! But if you're more comfortable with it, you can also send it in as an anon.
Sometimes, I'll just be out in the wild and see a writing blog that I'll add to my list.
