So far I'm thinking it's a clone made by Vlad, after being asked to by Jack and Maddie, with their samples. Danny and Danielle are the surviing clones, made to be 10 and 7 respectively. Vlad is the fruitloop uncle (affectionately!! good Vlad!!). Amity Park all knew the youngest Fenton kids are clones, and they both are so loved BECAUSE of it. (Actually I just wanted the dialogue to exist outside of my little brain with its grubby grabby racoon paws tbh)

in which Misako dies pre-canon while a cave in at an archaeological digging site. In which Misako becomes tethered to Lloyd during the time he went to Darkleys Boarding School. In which Lloyd knows before anyone (still living) that he is the destined Green Ninja.

What's currently posted (as of March 2025) is the canon divergent route; where Lloyd is found by the ninja and raised with them, living on the Bounty and all that happens in canon. In this route Misako's anchor to Lloyd breaks with the Golden Weapons reveal and she'll fight her way back. This is an abandoned route.

The "canon" route of the au is with Lloyd, after leaving Darkleys, going to find Misako's old archaeology crew and following his mother's footsteps in trying to prevent the prophecy. In this, he grows up and is raised by the archeologists, and becomes one as well.

The mutation situation

I feel like yk where I'm going with this but js so your aware I am so giddy rn

I love the idea of putting two characters in essentially the same situation even if (especially if) it doesn't look the same outright.

On the surface these 2 situations are not remotely related but if you look a little deeper then you will see that im just like you and your just like me these people are faced with such similar problems and it's very interesting to play around with their different approaches

PLUS it builds a deeper connection between the characters even without them realising!!

Think mikey and donnie getting disintegrated ("when worlds collide" and "power inside her" eps respectively)

Thats definitely something that would create a deeper bond and a mutual understanding between the two!

I love when someone says something that makes me hear ninja turtle voices quoting inside my head. That's a normal thing to like, I think

EVERYONE SAYS THEY DON'T HAVE A SHOT, BUT LOWKYE THEY MIGHT??? Like Donnie's whole thing is that he began so scared that nobody wants him that he clings to the few people who do in the hopes of earning the desire to stay, and April would later become so used to his presence that he's probably the most dependable thing in her life. And for a girl whose world is constantly changing under her feet, it makes sense that she'd come to rely on the only constant.

The thing about their relationship is that Donnie never steps back from it, no matter how much she yells, accuses, snips, or dismisses him. And people complain that he's too clingy, but she'll declare that she doesn't need him and then turn around to ask for him the second she needs him. (This isn't me shaming her, btw. Girl is smart to reach out when she needs assistence.) She'll say she has everything handled and then turn around to seek comfort/help from him at the first crisis. She's so unbelievably dependent on him throughout the series, and the fact that she keeps seeking him is proof that she knows she can rely on him.

I honestly believe that if Donnie ever backed away, April would feel like the floor just gave out underneath her. The Mutation Situation was proof that Donnie is capable of losing her, but The Power Inside of Her would be the revelation that she can push him away.

I believe that you are absolutely right about how similar they are. They really should have been used to flesh out how dependent these two are on one another and help grow their relationship!

I'm not a massive Donnie/April supporter or anything, but I do get highly skeptical when people tell me that they couldn't make it work. Because if you pay attention, the facts say they could.
