I was having a conversation with a family member about a tutoring job I had awhile back where I had been hired to tutor sisters (I call them twins in my head, but they were actually a year apart even if they did look identical).
The subject of conversation was that when the students started acting up like over scheduled nine and ten year olds that they were (I was one of three tutors and they also had a few after school activities) their mother "threatened" them with us the tutor's not wanting to stay if they kept acting up.
I was told of this warning after she had already talked to the students and the mother was the client so I couldn't exactly call her a moron to her face, but suffice it to say the kids didn't stop acting up and a little while later the job went away.
I was having this discussion with my family member when the thought suddenly occurred to me that those children are probably in college by now.
