Autism & Overpacking

Okay, just how long was Sunburst planning on staying in Ponyville cause all this stuff is a tad bit overkill! Not sure who has a habit of packing more than necessary, Sunburst or Rarity! LOL
Is someone who overpacks a red or green flag? Cause on one hand they're taking up extra space, but on the other hand it shows that they're always prepared and think ahead, but then again they may be an over thinker too...
Comment your thoughts, this interests me.

Overpacking
Dear Future Boyfriend – I’m a HORRIBLE packer
I’ve been packing for the past 4 days. Not bad… No, let me clarify. I’m not packing up my home or office. There’s no big move in the near future. Nope, I’m just packing one 50 lb suitcase (50 plus pound if my luggage scale is correct). Filled with too many beauty products, way too many shoes and definitely too much underwear. Seriously, am I the only person who packs 20 pair of underwear for a weekend getaway. What do I think is going to happen? I’m going to get stranded somewhere and I won’t have enough underwear to sustain me until I’m rescued. I don’t recall Tom Hanks caring about panties on Cast Away. But in all fairness, I did fall asleep after he started talking to a volleyball, so the plotline very well may have switched to Wilsonnnnnn I need more drawers. Anyhow, what was I saying. Oh yes, I’m the worse packer. And I’m stuck packing today, and the previous 3 days because Future Boyfriend, I’m leaving… Ohhh so dramatic right? Cue the Beyoncé song. No, I am leaving, but I’m not leaving you. Well actually I am… which is why for the next week I’ll be MIA. But don’t worry Future Boyfriend, I’m not leaving because I’m upset at your silent treatment or lack of manifestation. No, I just need a vacation. One I would love to take with you, but since we haven’t met, me and my over pound bag will be going without you.
Anyhow, where was I again. Oh yes, I’m a terrible packer. One would think, hey it’s only one week of your life, just throw something in the bag and let’s go, but actually, the whole thing gives me anxiety. Here I am asked to condense my entire being into one bag. And for a person who enjoys options this is paralyzing. Do I bring pants, dresses, or both? What about going out, I should have a few party dresses, no? And jackets, do I need a heavy, light, rain resistant? Ugh do I even have a rain resistant jacket? So, I begin my packing mission with the guidance of the weather channel. For my week of travel, what will the temperature be? That should most certainly help narrow down the 50 outfits I’ve pulled from the closet onto my bed, right? Ummm no. For my vacation temperatures will be ranging between 60 and 85. Now that’s a big weather gap. With chances of rain, shine and heat wave. Yikes. More clothing is added to the pile. Day two… I need to reduce the pile. I go to the vacation agenda to help dwindle down my ensembles. This vacation will consist of a lot of activities. Sightseeing, walking, you know tourist crap. So, pause packing and off to the store to buy sneakers, check. Except not sneakers, Chucks. Which is jean cloth covering a paper sole. Stylish. I grab a pair of black and white. Double check. Why? Because I’m soooo LA. And although Chucks look good paired with my outfits (I tried them on to insure), they left blisters on my feet when I tried to break them in. Ouch uncheck. Actually, double uncheck. How were these ever designed to be basketball shoes. So now what… I guess I’ll pack an additional pair of sneakers while I try to remedy this Chucky situation. Why additional as opposed to instead of? Because the Chucks look good with my outfits… duh. On to day 3. This packing thing has really consumed my life. How can I fit my 45 outfits (I’ve omitted 5) into this bag with 5 pair of shoes and all my hair and beauty products? Compression bags. Off to the store to pick up a few. But while I’m out why not see what else there is? After 5 hours of shopping, another 3 outfits purchased because they would be PERFECT for the trip. I’m now on Amazon Prime ordering a carryon bag. I need something to house the overflow. Day 4. This can’t still be happening. I’m actually leaving in 2 days and I’ve somehow shoved everything into this bag… at the expense of my lower back, but it’s the price you pay. I made it happen. All 42 outfits (I reduced 3), 5 pair of shoes, an entire hair and makeup station, my tote of toiletries, 3 purses, two jackets and a partridge in a pear tree. I did it!!! Zip her up and adios mi amore… oh no that’s Spanish. Arrivederci… no that’s Italian. Au Revior. Yes! I’m ready. Paris here I come. Or not. This bag is well over 50 lbs 🤦🏾♀️. Ugh… back to the drawing board. It’s time to make some hard cuts. The trip is in two days and at this rate I will not only be paying an overweight bag fee, but I have no room to smuggle back undocumented goods, i.e. more clothing I buy while there. No Bueno (again Spanish, but you get it). So like Sophie’s choice I must leave behind some cherished things. Not a child, but just as tragic. So Day 5 will be D-Day. See Future Boyfriend, it’s not that I don’t like vacationing, it’s just getting me there may take some time, a bit of time, a lot of freaking time. So, I need you to give me lead time. And if you’re the spontaneous type, you know the guy who can just throw a few things in the bag a few hours before takeoff, God bless you. But I’m not that girl, so keep your bragging to yourself. I clearly don’t need another thing stressing me out as I attempt to shove my house shoes into the already overweight bag… because what kind of animal travels without slippers. 💁🏾♀️

You know what I hate most in the world?!
Those people that say something "bad" about themself and it turns out not being true.
Let me explain; I'm going on a 3 day trip today with a "new" friend. Yesterday I texted her "OMG I'm terrible at packing, I always bring too much stuff and only end up using a pair of shorts and 3 t-shirts". To which seha answerd "Yeah I know, right?! I'm the same, I always overpack"
Well, I continued (over)packing and this morning I showed up at the train station with a medium suitcase, my camera case and a small bag with like my purse and stuff in it. About ten minutes later my friend showed up WITH ONLY A FUCKING BACKPACK! That's literally all she had on, a single BACKPACK!
I looked at her in disbelieve, to wich she said: "Oh, I also brought my big camera, it's in my backpack"
Anyway, long story short, I've had to cancel my trip cause I need to find a place to hide her body
I didn't - *huff* - expect you home so soon! . . . #characterdesign #characterillustration #myart #girl #digitalart #illustration #pnw #seattle #travel #slippers #overpacking
