re: your post abt dnd and its problems (i'm a couple days back on my dash so late to the party whups) i played dnd with a group of friends for a couple years and i totally feel you on those criticisms. we've since been migrating towards urban shadows and monster of the week, both of which are Powered By The Apocalypse systems, which has a dnd-esque version, Dungeon World. might veer too open but i didn't see it recced yet in discussions, so i thought i'd toss it out there

im almost always on the look out for more systems to look into :D

...if for no other reason than to know what NOT to try when i bumble my way through a custom system of my own design
