What's the pokedex deal

basically there are some pokedex entries that are just completely over the top, like magcargo's body temperature supposedly being almost twice as hot as the surface of the sun, or machamp being able to throw 500 punches per second. the theory is that these aren't hard scientific facts, but instead the exaggerations of ten-year-old trainers who've been made responsible for recording scientific data on pokemon they think are Really Cool. afaik, it's sort of ambiguous in-game as to whether somebody has to write the pokedex entries or whether the machine collects and presents data automatically.

The story starts to fondle with your memories it seems... The Punch Designix originally also costing Shale is easy to slide over, but Nanna's story about the kernel slippting in two and each half flying off to the 4 towers is harder to miss. Good thing you quickly figured it out again while thinking about the ring! (This will definitely get more interesting on the long run. :D)

It’s amazing how easy it is to forget stuff when you’re cramming it all in your head at once, even if you’ve read through it carefully enough to write it down. Easy mistake to make, I guess, since there are a couple of other freebies Rose deploys.

Kernelsprite are only kernelsprites (the epilectic balls) pre entry. At entry, the kernel breaks off and goes to the orbs on each planet. After this, it is a sprite (the ghosty lookin thign). Nothing post entry affects the ring.

“Nothing post entry affects the ring.” Right, because nothing post entry effects the prototyping of the imps and (at last the Black) Queen, which is why there aren’t any grandma sprites. So I got the trigger wrong, but my point with that paragraph was mostly to reiterate that Prospit and Purple Planet each have 4 towers for kernel receptacles, and I don’t think I’m wrong about my guess that Dave and Rose have dream bodies on PP!

Anyway, it’s been a busy week of actually working at work, so my next liveblog post should come hopefully tomorrow!

So the music for dave was upwards movement, the one for WV ascend was explore if you’re interested. There’s a crapton more music for homestuck, not all of which was used in the comic. Also, WV ascend is a middling flash in terms of “shit, that happened”.

Sweet! My screener’s arranging it so when I’ve read up to the point where a music album was released, she’ll link me directly to the album so I can listen to it and review it without being spoiled. I’m looking forward to what’s next but I’m also trying to measure my expectations so I don’t accidentally ruin it for myself. :)
