Widowmaker-
It was the third night in a row that you had woken, frozen in place and covered in spiders. Little black legs scurried up and down your arms and they pricked your legs with their pincers. You whimpered helplessly as the insects marched closer to your face. They were just beginning to nip at your neck when a cool hand brushed your cheek and soothed your burning skin. You squeezed your eyes shut and slowly felt yourself returning to your body. Your girlfriend traced circles on your bicep as you wiggled your toes and fingers. When you reopened your eyes, the spiders were gone. You exhaled shakily and turned to face Widowmaker, your lips pressed into a thin line. She sighed and her golden eyes flickered with concern.
“Was it the spiders again, ma chere?”, she said, her rumbling purr soothing the fluttering in your stomach. You nodded weakly and slowly rolled over to curl one thickly muscled arm around her slight frame. She traced circles on your chest with her thumb and brushed damp strands of hair off of your forehead. Her ice cold fingers grounded you back to your bed, safe and sound with your thigh draped across her hip.
Normally Widowmaker would have protested your vice grip on her, but she instead melted into your embrace and placed slow kisses across your collarbones. You whimpered and pressed your nose into the crown of her head, the scent of lavender clung to her midnight locks and calmed your senses. You were drifting back to sleep when her soft chuckle rasped against your throat.
“What a sense of humor your mind has, plaguing you with visions of spiders when you already let one into your bed.” You huffed at that, and slipped a finger beneath her chin and raised her teasing gaze to meet yours.
“I would’ve been crazy if I didn’t make an exception for a spider as beautiful as you.” Her lips curled into a soft smile and you both laid your heads back to your pillows. This time when you drifted off to sleep, you dreamt again of a spider, but this time she was much sweeter.
Sombra-
The roar of ocean waves crashed over you as you jerked awake in Olivia’s hideout. You were on the coast of Mexico, safe in bed, with your girlfriend drooling all over you. Physically, yes, this was true, but your mind was still miles away, trapped in an endless black hallway with nothing but a cackling theater mask to keep you company. The sunrise was just beginning to spill through the shuttered windows. Liquid gold sliced across the covers of the bed and your fingers twitched as you itched to reach towards it, to feel the warmth on your skin and ground yourself.
You didn’t notice Olivia’s snoring had stopped until she detangled her limbs from yours and stretched luxuriously in the sunlight. She turned to you with a sleepy smile on her face until she noticed you staring at her anxiously out of the corner of your eye. Her features darkened and she reached over to grasp your hand, her manicured nails scratching your palm and giving you something to focus on other than the panic that was not being able to move your body. You began to whimper and she leaned over and placed a kiss to your lips, hushing you softly.
“Shh, shh, shh, it’s okay, it’s okay cariña, I’ve got you,” she said, her breath tousling the hair splayed across your forehead. Your breathing slowed as she continued to play with your fingers and whisper in your ear. The lilting words drowned out the laughter and jingling bells. You closed your eyes and a door at the end of the hallway slammed shut, sealing the eerie mask behind it. You gasped and lurched forward, but Olivia pressed a firm hand to your chest and held you in place while the other gently stroked your jaw. A smile cracked her worried frown and she re-settled on her side of the bed.
“That damn mask again,” you managed to croak, voice rasping past parched lips. Olivia hummed and reached across you to grasp the glass of water on your bedside table. She brought the cool crystal to your lips and tipped a few drops into your mouth. She chased the cool water with the warm press of her lips and you sighed as the heat of her mouth chased the remaining stiffness from your limbs. You wrapped Olivia in a bear hug and rolled her over, her giggles filling the sun drenched room. You smiled wistfully and were comforted by the brightness of her smile that could always chase away the worst of your nightmare.
Mercy-
The flames licked closer up the sheets but you could not scream. Angela’s likeness on the wax dummy next to you melted into a gruesome mess, blonde hair blackened and curled in the heat. You glanced down at your hands tied to your sides, and the putty-like skin began to slough off of the bones. Your throat ached with the muffled screams held inside.
Just as the flames began to lap at your toes, another warmth, soft and comforting, enveloped you. You began to shake and tried to fight to the surface of the vision. Eventually you were able to burst back to reality. To the reality of Angela straddling you and pinning your arms to the bed.
Your cries were no longer muffled. You sobbed openly as Angela’s grip slackened and her hands came up to cup your cheeks. She shushed and kissed you on the forehead, thumbs rubbing circles into your temples. Your cries began to slow and you brought your arms up to encircle Angela’s waist.
She was so soft and warm. Her thighs that had been clamped around you like steel were once again supple. You marveled at the strength she hid beneath her delicate frame. If she was in protection mode, she was strong enough to rival your own muscles. You moved your hands down to those thighs and squeezed. Angela tsked and smacked your hands away.
“There will be none of that right now, liebe. You need to get some proper rest, you have a long day ahead of you tomorrow.” Angela said this as she laid back down beside you. You heard her voice but your attention was focused on the hand trailing along the cut of your hips. She grabbed a handful of your waist and pinched, causing you to yelp. You blushed and she chuckled before planting a firm kiss on your lips. She pulled away and moved her mouth to the shell of your ear.
“Remind me where we were tomorrow after work and we can pick things back up, alright?” You huffed and tucked her head beneath your chin. Your frustration quickly melted away to sleep as she massaged your shoulder and you slipped into more pleasant dreams promising of the day to come.
