Watched the new Devil May Cry Netflix anime with friends today and here’s my completely spoiler-free review:

I have no idea why, but this started because I happened to think of drawing Dark Leo in That Spray belonging to Reaper Overwatch and then I just rolled with it and filled a canvas with my favorite boys re-enacting some of my favorite interactions from Retribution and I am so happy with them

Hey there! Just wanted to clarify something, the explosion in the Retribution comic happened at a base in Rome. Oslo is in Norway. So I don’t think that was the attack that killed Liao.

Yeah I didn't think it was that explosion specifically either, but it was the only picture I had that reference an explosion. Not only that but I was kind of going off the wiki for this one without looking closer at the comic, I've kind of always thought that the explosion in Retribution took place in Oslo. (I'm shit at geography and where places are located lol)

But there is still referenced attacks that happened in Oslo;

Meaning Mina probably still died in that attack, it seems like a recent attack too considering how everyone is acting. Again, specifically Cassidy, I've looked closer at the comic and Cassidy, to me at least, seems a bit off throughout it.

Being somewhat isolated from the the conversation at the beginning of the comic;

Him wanting to act immediately even though it's established in the Deadlock Novel that though he is reckless, it's only when things are already going to shit;

And the obvious one of Cassidy instantly going to murder even though we know that's not how he usually does things, he didn't even instantly go to murder while he was in Deadlock. He only really kills when it's literally the only real option, aka his own life or other people's lives are in immediate danger;

And again he's somewhat isolated at the end of the comic;

Compare how Cassidy is positioned in contrast to Genji and Moira, hell just look at how this man sits normally and you can tell that this is a lot more closed off then he usually is.

I don't know I'm probably looking into it this too much but it does explain why at this point Cassidy was very willing to kill Antonio, but when they finally got to Rialto he finally simmered down enough to not be wanting Antonio's blood on the ground. At least not yet anyway.
