Their weapons bite together, and the two battle. Nearby, the Dark Turtles try to approach, but a dozen Foot ninja appear around them. Their attire is a cross between the Foot Elite and Foot Tech Ninjas of the past, though more high-tech than them.] Giorgione: [He regards them.] Nice hats. [They do indeed have nice hats. The compliment doesn’t win them over, unfortunately, and the Foot ninja swarm the three Dark Turtles who are forced to redirect their focus to their new opponents. As Leonardo and Lotus Blossom fight, lightning strikes regularly, each time changing the scene to either being in the present or resembling Leonardo's past fight with the Foot Elite during the episode ‘The Shredder Strikes Back, Part 2’, flickering back and forth between them.] Dunn’s voice: Kill her. Kill them all! We don’t need that woman alive to use as bait!

Every time the tmnt hyper fixation carousel circles back around and bonks me on the back of my head, I end up re-designing the 03 dark turtles for my take in whatever the current tmnt obsession is. ROTTMNT has been no exception. Have a Dark Donnie, and Dark Mikey!

Do you guys perchance remember if the Dark Turtles refer to themselves as Dark Turtles?? Does anyone have a clue where that title came from??

This is not like an in-universe moral question about calling your clones evil (although it could be! I’m a sneaky bastard like that!) but more like.. did the creators coin that? Did the fandom coin that??? It’s on like official playing cards right? But is that a case where the fandom made it up and the people making merch joined in??

Ayo fuck you, redesigns your Dark Turtles. The alterations I did were influenced by Rise's designs. Consider it a kind of not exactly Rise version of them.
