Important Announcement
I’ve kind of been putting this off because it’s a bit disappointing and embarrassing to Ghosty and I, but we’ve got some bad news for you guys.
Throughout the scheduling and coordinating for this event, we acknowledge the statement that has been echoed by those who have left: communication has been very poor. We as mods and co-runners have not been consistent with deadlines, and because of this laxness, we haven’t been receiving commitment or responses from a number of authors when trying to reach out them either on a deadline or after the fact. This is at no single fault, seeing as this whole event is based on constant and mutual communication. If one does not deliver, then they will not receive.
That being said, because of the spotty communication and delaying and delaying of deadlines, we feel that it would be best to discontinue the Overwatch Big Bang altogether.
I know that there are a lot of artists who have waited for a long time to begin working with authors, as well as authors who have had their stories ready for a long time and haven’t had any opportunity to post or do anything with them. This is part of why it’s so upsetting for us to say that things just aren’t working out here.
Even though we’re more than upset over having to discontinue the Overwatch Big Bang, we do want to say that the blog will not be deleted; it will merely be put onto hiatus in the hopes that we’ll be better prepared and will attempt to run another Big Bang to completion in the future.
